Dwayne
England, age 47, of Blairsville, Georgia, passed away peacefully at his
home.
Dwayne
was born Tuesday, July 25, 19161 in Towns County, GA,
to Eloise Deaver England, of Blairsville and the late Vaughn England. He was of the Baptist Faith and was preceded
in death by an infant brother, Stevie Nolan England; nephews, Stephen
Douglas
England and Jon Wesley England.
Surviving
family members, in addition to his mother,
include; brothers, Douglas England of Blairsville; and Darrell England
of
Blairsville; sisters, Yvonne (Ted) Lunsford of Young Harris, GA, Kathy
Rich of
Blairsville; and Angie (Phil) Hartley of Blairsville.
Many other relatives and friends also
survive.
Services
were held Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at 2 PM from the Cochran Funeral Home
Chapel
with Rev. Jason Helton and Rev. Wade Plott officiating.
Music was provided by Evan Hughes and Merle
Fortenberry. Interment followed in the
Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving
as pallbearers were the following gentlemen: Ryan England, Bill Kelley,
Justin
Jones, Caleb England, Keith Barnes and Roy Townsend.
Honorary pallbearers included: Kermit
Chambers, Randy Holbrooks, Tommy Argay, Michael Hughes, Bud Murphy,
Kevin
Prather, Gary Redmond and Tim Parker.
Friends
called anytime at the funeral home after 9 AM Tuesday; however the
family
especially met with friends Tuesday evening from 5-9 p.m. at the
Cochran
Funeral Home in Blairsville.

Mrs.
Betty
H. Cronic, age 68 of West Union Church Rd., Young Harris, passed away
on
Sunday, June 21, 2009 at her home following an extended illness. Mrs. Cronic was born on Jan. 20, 1941 in
Jackson County, GA, the daughter of Viola Reeves Haynie and the late
George
Haynie. Betty always laughed and found
something good in everyone. She was a
loving mother, sister and grandmother.
She was always supportive of her family.
She was preceded in death by a son, Chris Flowers in 1985 and
her
husband, Harry Cronic in 2003. Mrs.
Cronic was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving Mrs.
Cronic are one daughter and son-in-law, Kelly and William Lovell of
Young
Harris, one son and daughter-in-law, John Dyer and Rene Shoffett of
Oakwood,
GA, mother, Viola Reeves of Gainesville, three brothers and two
sisters-in-law,
Zane Haynie of Arlington, VA, Jay and Pat Haynie of Bethlehem, GA,
Frank and
Sally Haynie of Snellville, five grandchildren, Emily dyer, Rachel
Dyer, Tommy
Mitchell, P.J. and April Mitchell, Diandra Lovell, many other relatives
and
friends also survive.
A memorial
service was held on Saturday, June 27, 2009 at 11 a.m. from the
Chicopee
Baptist Church with the Rev. Phil Carpenter officiating.
Special music was presented by April
Mitchell. In lieu of flowers if you wish,
the family requests that donations may be made to Christian Love

Box 376, Murphy, NC 28906 in memory of Mrs. Cronic.

Rev.
Ricky Burrell, age 51 of Hiawassee, GA, passed away Tuesday, July 7,
2009 as
the result of an accident.
Ricky was
born Tuesday, February 18, 1958 in Hiawassee, GA,
the son of the late Rob and Cindy (Arrowood) Burrell.
He was the pastor and a member of Saved By
Grace full Gospel Church in Hayesville, NC.
Survivors
include his loving wife, Eunata Loftis Burrell of
the home, son and daughter-in-law, Shannon and Jennifer Burrell of
Hiawassee,
GA, brothers, Oscar Owenby, Arvil Owenby and Artis Owenby, all of
Cornelia, GA
and Rex Burrell of Hiawassee, GA, sisters, Angelo Addis of Cornelia,
GA, and
Sheila Mathis of Hiawassee, GA, and grandsons, Dylan Burrell and Devyn
Burrell,
both of Hiawassee, GA. Many other
relatives and friends also survive.
Services
were held Friday, July 10, 2009 at 2 PM from the chapel of the Cochran
Funeral
Home of Hiawassee with Rev. Bill Trotter and Rev. Kenneth Pilcher
officiating. Serving as pallbearers were:
Joe Forrester,
pat Sosebee, Ronnie Coker, Chris Coker, Craig Sosebee and Brandon Coker. Honorary pallbearers were: Oscar Owenby,
Arvil Owenby, Artis Owenby, Rex Burrell, Dylan Burrell, Devyn Burrell,
Alvin
Moss, Willard Loftis and Allen Loftis.
Interment
was in the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Cemetery in
Hayesville.
