Mrs.
Janet Garrett Eubanks age 58 of Kimsey Cove Rd., Hiawassee passed away
on
Wednesday, July 16, 2008 in the Mountain View Nursing Home in Clayton,
GA following
an extended illness. Mrs. Eubanks was
born on Sept. 30, 1949 in Towns County, the daughter of the late
Carlton T.
Garrett and the late Eula Mae Ledford Garrett.
Janet was always a joyful person and was full of laughter. She was a loving wife, mother, sister,
grandmother and great grandmother. She
was preceded in death by four brothers, Jerry, Jack, Joel and Carlton
Garrett
Jr. Mrs. Eubanks was of the Baptist
faith.
Surviving
Mrs. Eubanks are loving husband, Ben Eubanks of Clayton, two daughters
and
sons-in-law, Jennie and Mike Whitehead of Covington, GA, Julie and
Frankie
McClemons of Cleveland, GA, three brothers and one sister-in-law, J. T.
and
Leta Garrett, Gerald Garrett and J.D. Garrett all of Hiawassee, one
sister and
brother-in-law, June and Steve Brookshire of Cornelia, GA, six
grandchildren, many
other relatives and friends also survive.
A memorial
service will be held in Clayton, GA, at a alter date and will be
announced. In lieu of flowers if you
wish, the family requests that memorials may be made to Regency Hospice
of
Hiawassee in memory of Mrs. Eubanks.

Mr. James
Edward Smith, age 56, of Young Harris, GA, passed away on Monday, July
14, 2008
at his residence. He was born to the
late Roscoe and Ruth (Ferguson) Smith on may 31, 1952, in Cherokee
County, NC.
He is
survived by his wife, Rosalee Smith, of Young Harris, GA; daughter,
Rachel
Smith, of Hiawassee, GA; son, Rickey Smith, of Hiawassee, GA; brothers,
Cline
Smith, of Hiawassee, GA; Fred Smith, of Young Harris, GA; Robert Smith,
of
Young Harris, GA; two grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews
also
survive.
Funeral
services were held on Thursday, July 17, 2008 at 10 AM from Victory
Baptist
Church with Rev. Jimmy Rogers officiating.
Pallbearers were: Mitchel Anderson, Jimmy Smith, Edward Smith,
Mark
Allen, James Edward Smith, John Smith, Randy Smith, Royce Dillard and
John
Clemmons. Interment was
in Victory Baptist Church cemetery.

Barbara
Elaine Getch, “Babs”, age 57. She is
preceeded in death by her loving parents, Charlie E. Getch of Umatilla,
FL and
Doris Betty (Windham) Fox of Hiawassee, GA.
She is
survived by her tow sons: John Mobilio, Joseph Mobilio, Granddaughter
Gia
Mobilio, sisters; Mary Ellen (Getch) Warner, Leslie (Lucas) Rangel,
Renee
(Getch) Goodwin, Brother; Steve Fox, and a host of family and friends.
Her
smiling face and loving embrace will be greatly missed.
The Dispertion of Ashes will be held at
Osborn Cemetary in Hiawassee GA, Sunday, July 27, 2008 10-11 a.m. The “Celebration of Life” will follow at the
Towns County Recreational Park in Hiawassee at 11:30 a.m.
