mrs. christine puett ingle

 

Mrs. Christine Puett Ingle, age 90, of King Cove Road in Young Harris, GA., passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2004 in Marietta, following an extended illness.  Mrs. Ingle was born on April 26, 1914 in Towns County, the daughter of the late Levi B. Puett and the late Maude Emerson Puett.  She was a native and lifelong resident of Towns County.  She was a member of the Teachers Retirement Association and the State Employees Assoc. of NC.  She had taught school at Brasstown Elementary, Murphy Grammer School and Towns County High School.  Mrs. Ingle was a devoted gardener and a member of the Old Brasstown Baptist Church.

Preceded in death by a sister, Beuna Loy Brendle; three brothers, Walter, C.D. and Oran Puett and by her husband, Carl Ingle.  She is survived by one sister, Glenda Wilson of Smyrna, GA; two sisters-in-law, Mozell Puett of Murphy, NC., Sue C. Puett Grimms of Atlanta; five nieces, Linnie Reaves of Smyrna, Pam Reeves of Acworth, Sandra Moore of Lawrenceville, Terrell Puett of Murphy, Mary Jo Gaston of Lawrenceville; eight nephews, J.O. Puett of Murphy, Edward Puett of Murphy, Jerry Brendle of Greenville, TN., Kevin Brendle of Buford, Donnis Brendle of MO., Alvin Brendle of MO; many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services were held on Monday, July 26, 2004 from the Old Brasstown Baptist Church with the Rev. Jimmy Rogers and Rev. Billy Stiles officiating.  The following gentlemen served as Pallbearers, Keith Wilson, J.O. Puett, Dennis Puett, Donnis Brendle, Jim Sadler, Terry Puett and Brian Reeves.  Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville was in charge of the arrangements.

master chase arrowood

 

Master Chase Arrowood, infant son of Jessica Arrowood passed away Wednesday, July 21, 2004 at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, NT.

Survivors include his mother, Jessica Arrowood of Hiawassee, GA; brother, Cole Riddle; grandparents, Michael Arrowood and Carol Arrowood of Hiawassee, GA; paternal great-grandmother, Bessie Arrowood of Hiawassee; maternal grandmother, Ruby Monkus of Hayesville, NC; aunt, Megan Arrowood of Hiawassee; several other aunts and uncles also survive.

Graveside services were held Thursday, July 22, 2004 from Pine Grove Baptist Cemetery with Roger Townley officiating.

Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee, GA., was in charge of arrangements.
