Mrs.
Nettie Roberta Drake, age 78, of Young Harris, Georgia passed away
Tuesday,
July 28, 2009 at Union General Hospital in Blairsville.
Mrs.
Drake was born in Bartow County, GA, to the late Ervin
and Hattie (Satterfield) Everett. She
was a member of Zebulon Baptist Church in Blairsville.
Mrs. Drake was preceded in death by her
husband, Charles E. Drake; a sister, Ervalene Hedden; and a grandson,
Jason
Bailey.
Surviving
family members include: daughter and son-in-law, Barbara & James
Willis of
Talking Rock, GA; daughter, Joanne Bailey of Stone Mountain, GA;
grandson, 1st Class
Petty Officer Jeremy Willis; granddaughter, Ashley Brooks; grandson,
David
Bailey; 6 great grandchildren; brothers: Lloyd Everett, Herbert
Everett, Ed
Everett, and MacArthur Everett all of Blairsville; many nieces and
nephews and
friends also survive.
Funeral
services were held Thursday, July 30, 2009 at 2 p.m. from Zebulon
Baptist
Church with Rev. Ray Potts officiating.
Music was provided by Pat McCall, David Chatham, Junior &
Carolyn
Bridges. Interment followed in the
church cemetery. The following gentlemen
served as pallbearers: Daniel Webster, jack Cochran, Stacy Stephens,
Judd
Dayton, Leonard Sosebee and Brent Chatham.
The family
received friends at the funeral home from Wednesday, July 20, 2009 5
p.m. – 8
p.m.
