faye kirby

 

            Faye Kirby, age 80, of Young Harris passed away September 12, 2010. 

            Mrs. was born in Young Harris to the late Lee Kirby and Bula Canupp Kirby.  She was predeceased by her son, Jerry Kirby.

            She is survived by her son, Terry Kirby of Young Harris; brother, Robert Kirby of Young Harris; three grandchildren, Kevin Kirby of Sylacauga, AL, Kimberly Kirby and Mandy Taylor, both of Young Harris; and a number of nieces and nephews.

            The family received friends from 6-8 PM Friday in the Chapel of Banister Funeral Home.

            Funeral services were 2 PM Tuesday, September 14, 2010 in the Chapel.  The reverend Jimmy Rogers officiated.  Interment followed in Old Union Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Lewie Hughes, Dale Nicholson, Ronnie Shook, Marshall Gibson, Steve Holloway, and David Kuykendall.

wallace dudley parham

 

            Wallace Dudley Parham, age 86, of Young Harris passed away Thursday, September 2, 2010.  He was born in Unadilla, GA to the late Chester Parham and Esmay Slaughter.  He was a member of Hiawassee United Methodist Church and a member of the VFW Post 7807.  He was predeceased by his wife, Suzanne Wannamaker Parham.

            Survivors include his daughter Carol Chastain of Hiawassee; son, Allen Parham of Raleigh, NC; and sister, Mary Jane Zimmerman of Decatur. 

            Funeral services were 11 AM Saturday, September 4, 2010 at Hiawassee United Methodist Church.  The Reverend Jim Blair officiated.  Interment followed in Hayesville United Methodist Church Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hiawassee United Methodist Church, PO Box 609, Hiawassee, GA 30546.

william clarence “bill” bradley

 

            William Clarence “Bill” Bradley, age 71, of Blairsville, passed away September 3, 2010.

            Bill was born in Young Harris to the late Newman c. Bradley and Annie Mae smith Bradley.  He was employed with Ingles Supermarket in Hiawassee.

            He is survived by his brother, Neil Ray Bradley of Gainesville.

            A memorial service is planned for a later date.

lewis timothy redeker

 

            Mr. Lewis Timothy Redeker, age 67, of Hiawassee, passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2010.

            Mr. Redeker was born in Denver, Colorado to the late Morris Redeker and Henrietta Stavast Redeker.  He was a systems engineer with Hewlett Packard.   He is survived by his wife, Judy Redeker of Hiawassee; sons, Scott Redeker of Virginia, Kevin Redeker of Georgia, and Stephen Redeker of Georgia’ brothers, Dennis Redeker of Missouri, and Richard Redeker of Denver, Colorado; sister, Lori Morriner of Colorado; four grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

            A memorial service was Sunday at Grace Presbyterian Church in Blairsville.  The Reverend Jon Jacobs and Dennis Redeker officiated.  Interment was private.
