james albert parramore

 

James Albert Parramore, age 75, of Young Harris, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2003 at his home following an extended illness.  Born on march 2, 1928 in Thomas County, Georgia to the late Albert Dallas and the late Bessie Wilson Parramore, he was one of five children and the only son.  Mr. Parramore gave tremendously of his time and energy to his family and worked as a farmer.  He and his family owned and operated Valley Nursery since 1985.  he is remembered for his compassion and friendly smile.  He was a Christian by faith and a Baptist by choice.  Mr. Parramore was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church.

He is predeceased by his parents; his sisters, Agnes Parramore Scoggins and Doris Parramore Findley.  He is survived by his loving wife of fifty years, Martha Ann Holland Parramore; his children, James Albert “Bert” Parramore, Wesley Julian Parramore, Gina Parramore Gribble and Philip Dallas Parramore; his sisters, Joyce Parramore Wilson and Nell Parramore Chappell; his grandchildren, Donna Lynn Parramore, Lindsey LaNora Parramore, Chad Taylor Parramore and Linzey Nicole Mason.  Many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, October 25, 2003 at Mountain View Funeral Home in Blairsville, Georgia with the Rev. William Sisum and Rev. Jimmy Rogers officiating.  Special music was presented by Jeannie Miles.  The following gentlemen served as honorary Pallbearers: Rev. Tommy Jenkins, Danny Brown, Bryan Weaver, Allen Page and Steve Page.

Mountain View Funeral Home of Blairsville was in charge of the arrangements.
