Margaret E. Jakeway, 82, of Hiawassee died on Thursday, December 16, 2004 in Commerce Township, Michigan.

A private memorial service was held in Michigan.

Mrs. Jakeway was a native of Pennsylvania.  She had lived in Towns County for over 20 years.

Mrs. Jakeway was preceded in death by her husband James Jakeway and a son Davy McNeilly.

mrs. noira kathleen crouch

 

Mrs. Moira Kathleen Crouch, age 59, of Howling Wolf Road, Young Harris, passed away on Wednesday, December 22, 2004 at her home following an extended illness.  Mrs. Crouch was born on May 21, 1945 in Atlanta, GA, the daughter of the late Robert Otis Crouch and the late Mary Kathleen Duncan Crouch.  She had taught school for several years.  She had made her home in Union County for the past ten years, moving here from Atlanta.  Mrs. Couch was of the Catholic faith.

Surviving Mrs. Crouch are one daughter, Deanne Allard of West Palm Beach, FL, an uncle, Dr. and Mrs. Thomas Duncan of St. Petersburg, FL, very special friends, Sydney and George Crutchfield of Young Harris, Rob and Ruth St. Romain of Atlanta, Pam and Greg DeMuth of Blairsville, several cousins, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Memorial services will be held at a later date and will be announced.  In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in Mrs. Crouch’s memory.

vicki lynn denton

 

Vicki Lynn Denton, age 38, of Hiawassee, GA passed away at Northeast Georgia Medical Center on December 24, 2004.  She was the daughter of Bobby & Odena (Ferguson) Denton.  She was born on January 4, 1966 in Towns County, GA.  She is survived by her parents, Bobby & Odena Denton, of Hiawassee, GA; brother, Mr. Ronnie Denton, of Hayesville, NC; brother, Timmy Denton, of Hiawassee, GA; son Dalton Brett Denton, of Hiawassee, GA; and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.  Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 28, 2004 at 2PM from the chapel of Banister Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry Dailey officiating.  Pallbearers were Scott Denton, Mick Denton, Greg Roberts, Kenneth Nicholson, Thomas Dailey, and Phil Denton.  Interment was in Lower Hightower Baptist Church cemetery.  Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee in charge of arrangements.

mr. john roberts

 

Mr. John Roberts, age 57, of Hiawassee, GA passed away December 18, 2004 at his home following a brief illness.  He was born on September 21, 1947 in Mexico.  He is survived by his wife, Mr. Clara Roberts, of Hiawassee, GA; daughter, Mrs. Pam Sisk, of Tennessee; sons and daughters-in-law, Matt and Trish Roberts, of Tennessee; Manuel and Michelle Arrowood, of Hiawassee; daughter and son-in-law, Marilyn and Mark Crane of Hiawassee, GA; sons, Johnny Roberts, of Tennessee; James Garrett, of Hiawassee, GA; Mack Neil Garrett, of Murphy, NC; twelve grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.  Funeral services were held on Monday, December 20, 2004 at 2 PM from Lower Hightower Baptist Church with the Rev. Ray Woodall officiating.  Music was provided by Lower Hightower Baptist Church Choir.  Interment was in Lower Hightower Baptist Church cemetery.  Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee in charge of arrangements.
