mrs. annie lee (anne) rhinehardt segrest

 

Mrs. Annie Lee (Anne) Rhinehardt Segrest, age 78 of Ozark, Alabama, passed away Thursday morning, December 18, 2003 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Alabama.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 20th at Camp Ground Baptist Church with the Rev. Al Sonastine and Rev. Harry Circle  officiating.  Burial was at Woodlawn Memory Gardens.  Memorial contributions may be given to Camp Ground Baptist Church, 3998 Andrews Ave., Ozark, Alabama.

Annie Lee was born May 15, 1925 in Young Harris, GA to the late Oscar Levi Rhinehardt Sr. and Bessie Corene Sorgent Rhinehardt and she had lived in Ozark since 1966.  She was a member of Camp Ground Baptist Church where she served on various committees and worked with the W.M.U. and Bible School.  She also worked with Fort Rucker Sunday School before becoming active at Camp Ground Baptist Church.  She was a school teacher and worked as a substitute teacher in Ozark City Schools and Fort Rucker Schools for many years.  She was a loving wife, mother and friend, and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, William M. Segrest of Ozark; daughter and son-in-law, Betty Ann and Hal Cox of Ozark; four sisters, Mae Lucille Jennings of Anchorage, Alaska, Clara Belle Love of Salisbury, NC, Mary Virginia Bradley and husband Billy of Mableton, GA, Betty Sue Dyer and husband James Perry of Blairsville, GA; three brothers, J.L. Rhinehardt and wife Nina of Bluff City, NT, H.L. Rhinehardt and wife Ruby of Young Harris, GA, C.L. Rhinehardt of Young Harris, GA; grandchildren, Chris and Craig Blocker of Ozark, AL, Robin Strickland and Grant of Sugar Hill, GA, Tony Cox and Donna of Jacksonville, FL, Angie Weeks and Kevin of Enterprise; six great grandchildren, Brianna Blocker, Regan and Kayden Strickland, Christin Cox and Whitney and Garrett Weeks.

Deceased one brother, Oscar Levi Rhinehardt Jr. and one sister, Daphne Rhinehardt Thomas.

Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark, Alabama in charge of all arrangements.

laura brasselle morgan

 

Mrs. Laura Brasselle, age 66, of Hiawassee, Georgia passed away Tuesday, December 23, 2003 following a brief illness.  Mrs. Morgan was born in Dougherty county on August 5, 1937.

Surviving are her husband, Lawrence A. Morgan, of Hiawassee; daughter, Mrs. Brenda Brasselle Miller, of Eden, MD; son, Thomas Brasselle of Charleston, W. VA; brother H. Harold Carter of Lilburn, Georgia; granddaughter, Emily Brasselle and a number of nieces and nephews.  Memorial services were held at Grace Community Presbyterian Church, Saturday, December 27, 2003 at 11:00 am.  Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee was in charge of arrangements.

dessie eller

 

Mrs. Dessie Eller, age 95, of Hiawassee, Georgia, died Thursday, December 25, 2003 in Chatuge Regional Nursing Home.

Mrs. Eller was born April 30, 1908 in Towns County, a daughter of the late Frank and Elizabeth (Ramey) Gibson.  She was a member of Mt. Pleasant Church of God.  Mrs. Eller was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Eller.

Survivors include daughters, Lerlia Bright, Mary Owenby and Totsy Anderson, all of Hiawassee and Errie Hunter of Clarkesville, Georgia; sons, A.L. Eller of Blairsville, Guy Eller of Hiawassee and Odell Eller of Jacksonville, Florida; a sister, Ida Watts of Clayton, Georgia; thirty four grandchildren, forty six great-grandchildren, twenty one great-great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services were held Sunday, December 28, 2003at 2:00 pm from Mt. Pleasant Church of God with Rev. Jarvis Bennett and Rev. Greg Roberts officiating.  Music was by Diane Kent and Goldie Shubert and Lacie Ford.  Pallbearers were Jody Anderson, Isaiah Allen, Junior Hunter, Michael Eller, Jeff Eller, Roger Bright and Ronnie Bright.  Burial was in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery.

Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee was in charge of arrangements.
