Ephram#4( Known as "Eph") Byers, and Jon Cebarn Byers, the only two sons of Francis Marion Byers. Eph was a resident of Hayesville, NC, and J. C. was a resident of the Chillicothe, TX area. J. C. left Towns county GA, about 19 years of age for Texas. He went with the William Harrison (Uncle Billy) Lance family. He later married the Lance's daughter whose name I will send later...(having a senior moment). Descendants of J. C. still own part of what was the Byers-Lance Ranch. This photo was made in front of Eph's little gas station on US 64 in Hayesville, NC. Eph's dau, Neva Byers Martin, is the only living child of Eph. She provided the photo of F. M.

Eph and wife Mary Keys Byers. She was 2nd wife. Eph's first wife died in childbirth. Mary was killed in an auto accident 1958. They lived both in Towns County Ga and Clay County NC.

Francis Marion Byers of Towns County, GA.

Rev. Hicks Byers circa 1950. Hicks was the son of Eph Byers and first wife, Carry Curtis Byers. Carrie died in childbirth. Hicks was raised mostly by his grandmother, Mary Loggins Byers, widow of Francis Marion Byers. Hicks lived both in Towns County Ga and Clay County, NC.
