Mrs.
Juanita Bennett Weaver, age 69, of Blairsville, Georgia, passed away
Saturday,
December 27, 1997 in Georgia Baptist Hospital in Atlanta.
Mrs. Weaver
was born in Fannin County, Georgia on August 10, 1928, a daughter of
the late
John Floyd Bennett and Thursa Jane Poe Bennett.
She was a hairdresser.
Mrs. Weaver was a member of Antioch Baptist
Church.
Surviving
are her husband Fred Weaver, of Blairsville; daughter, Ingrid Rena
Martin of
Seattle, Washington; daughter, Lynda Ann Weaver, of Decatur, GA.;
brother, Dan
Bennett, of Woodstock, Georgia; brother, Dough Bennett of Snellville,
GA.;
sister, Helen Garner of Canton, GA., sisters, Gladys Davis of Dallas,
GA., and
sister, Jean Fowler of Dahlonega, GA.; a granddaughter, Andrea Martin
also survives.
Funeral
services were held Tuesday, December 30, 1997 at 2 p.m. from Cochran
Funeral
Home Chapel in Blairsville with Rev. Charles Black officiating. Special music was presented by Susie
Phillips. Louise DeLong, and Sarah Kelley.
The following gentlemen served as pallbearers:
Larry Patterson, Bruce Patterson, Trevor
Bennett, Michael Bennett, Teddy Bennett, and randy Zimmerman. The North Georgia Honor Guard served as
honorary escort to the family. Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville in charge of
arrangements.

Mrs.
Sara L. Summerford, age 80, of Blue Ridge, GA. Formerly of Blairsville,
passed
away Wednesday, December 17, 1997 in Fannin County, Georgia.
Mrs.
Summerford was a native of Ben Hill County, Georgia, and was a member
of the
House of Prayer Interdenominational Church.
She was the daughter of the late David Sherman Fowler and Willie
Maude
white Fowler.
Surviving
are her husband E.E. “Red” Summerford, of Blue Ridge; daughter, Annie
Hall of
Acworth, GA.; three grandchildren, Robin Hall-Bewley of Acworth, Eddie
Hall of
Dallas, GA., and Hap hall of Huntsville, AL.; two great grandchildren,
Valyn
Hall and Lindsey Hall, both of Marietta, GA.
Funeral
services were held Saturday, December 20, 1997 at 11 a.m. from the
chapel of
Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville, with Rev. Jerry Helton officiating. Special music was presented by Eddie Hall,
Hap Hall, and Gerry Hall. The following
gentlemen served as pallbearers: Richard
Daetwyler, Bob Millage, Mark Sosebee, Tommy Green, Dr. David Gowder and
Harold
Pruitt. Interment was in the House of
Prayer Cemetery.

Mrs.
Ida D. Reid, age 88, of Blairsville, Georgia, passed away Saturday,
January 3,
1998 in Union County Nursing Home.
Mrs. Reid
was born in Union County on April 12, 1909, a daughter of the late Sam
and
Sallie Reed Dyer. Mrs. Reid was a member
of Pine Top Baptist Church. She was
preceded in death by her husband William Harrison “Bill” Reid.
Survivors
include a sister, Lydia Hood of Blairsville, GA.; brothers, Sam Dyer
and
Woodrow Dyer both of Blairsville, GA.; several nieces and nephews also
survive.
Funeral
services were held Sunday, January 4, 1998 at 2:30 p.m. at Pine Top
Baptist
church (sic) with Rev. Henry Loggins and Rev. Stacy Dyer officiating. Music was by the Church Choir.
Pallbearers were Frank Merritt, Calvin Hood,
Richard Dyer, Royce Dyer, Ronnie Dyer and Donnie Dyer. Interment was in
the
church cemetery.
