Gordon Duckworth (better known as the Sunshine Man) age 84, of Fairview Trail
Road, Blairsville, Georgia, passed away on Monday, January 3, 2000 in the
Murphy Medical Nursing Home in Murphy, NC.

are two daughters: Kathy Sue Burrell of Cartersville, Vessie Marie Carabllo of
Stuart, FL; sis sons, Jerry Ralph Duckworth, of Rockmart, GA; Thomas Dewey,
Edgar Lee and Gordon Henry Duckworth, all of Blairsville, Roy Duckworth of
Stuart, FL and Robert Wayne Duckworth of Young Harris, sixteen grandchildren,
six great grandchildren and many other relatives and friends also survive.

Jamie and Jim Kinnersley of Blairsville, Sheila Huggins Dean of Lilburn, GA;
son: Johnny Huggins of Blairsville; son and daughter in law, Joel and Amy
Huggins, of Blairsville; three brothers and sisters in laws: Claude and Jackie
Hunt of CA., Rev. J.R. and Earlene Huggins of Virginia, Bob and Helen Huggins
of Blairsville, twelve grandchildren, and one great great grandchild, many
other nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral
services were held on Saturday, January 8, 2000 from the Liberty Baptist Church
with the Rev. Brent Chatham officiating.

Special music was presented by Jim Kinnersley, Gloria Griggs, Nelson and
Mildred Lecroy. The following gentlemen
served as pallbearers: Kevin and Brian Kinnersley, Eli, Nathanael and Joel
Stephens, Jeramy, Cole, and Dusty Huggins. Honorary pallbearers were Cody and Joshua
Huggins. Interment followed in the Old
Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Young Harris.
