Melba
Pearline McGlamery Stiles, 74, 1017 White Lane, died February 4, 1996,
at
Mecklenburg Health Care Center.
She was a
native of Blairsville, Georgia, daughter of the
late Asbury Miles McGlamery and Dona (sic) Kelly, wife of the late
Cloys Edward
Stiles, retired from Parkdale Mills, member of Linwood Church of God,
and
Sunday school teacher.
The
survivors include; daughter and son-in-law, Shirley S. and Gary
Huffman,
Gastonia; sister, Lucille McGlamery, Crandall, Georgia; brother,
Beecher
McGlamery, McCaysville, Georgia; Ford McGlamery, Gastonia;
grandchildren,
Lauren H. Noval, Elizabeth, N.J., Heather and Marshall Huffman,
Gastonia.
The funeral
was Wednesday, February 7, 1996 at 2 p.m. at the Ward Funeral Home with
the
Rev. James E. Griffin officiating. She
was buried at Hollywood Cemetery in Gastonia.

Mrs. Mary
Reece Wilson, age 94, of Blairsville passed away Wednesday, January 31,
1996 in
Chatuge Regional Hospital. Mrs. Wilson
was born November 20, 1901 in Union County, the daughter of Eli and
Sally
Stephens Reece. She was a lifelong
resident of Union County and a member of Shady Grove Methodist Church.
Survivors
include her husband, Abe Lincoln Wilson, of Blairsville; 3 daughters,
Joyce
Collins of Gainesville, Georgia, and Martha Deaver and Carol Nix, both
of
Blairsville; three sons, Elbert Wilson of Wales, Michigan, Tom Wilson
of West
Charleston, SC and William “Bill” Wilson of Blairsville; three sisters,
Ora
Foster, Florence Queen and Inez Lance, all of Blairsville; and one
brother,
Weldon Reece of Augusta, Georgia, 27 grandchildren and numerous great
grandchildren and great-great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral
services were held Saturday, February 3, 1996 at 2:00 p.m. from the
Chapel of
The Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville with Rev. Willis Garrett
officiating. Music was provided by Earl
and Ida Lou
Bishop. Interment was in the Shady Grove
Methodist Church Cemetery.
