Mrs. Rosa
Lee Ray, age 82, of the Old Blue Ridge Hwy. Blairsville, passed away on
Surviving
are two daughters and son-in-laws, Lavonia and Shane Blackford of Blairsville,
Cheryl and Ted Burns of Blairsville; two sons, Orin and Leonard Huckeba, both
of Blairsville; eleven grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren, many
other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral
services were held on Saturday, February 12, 2000 at 11 am at the Funeral Home
Chapel with the Rev. Vernon Davenport officiating. Special music was presented by The Faith
Singers. Interment followed in the
Mountain View
Funeral Home of Blairsville in charge of arrangements.

Dr. Carl
M. Hood, age 90, died February 12th following an extended illness. He was a graduate of

addition to his wife, survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Joye Hood

Midville; seven grandchildren, Sheri Spates Slappey of Atlanta, Sheli Spates
Jones of Gainesville, Clint Hood of Louisville, Chip Hood of Grainesville,
Chris Hood of Wadley, Clay Hood of Wadley, and Suzanne Hood of Statesboro.
A
graveside memorial services with Reverend Eddie Herring, Blairsville First
United Methodist Church officiating was held February 14th. Grandson Clint Hood delivered the

William Austin Carney, age 63, of
Mr.
Carney was born in
Survivors
include his wife, Frankie F. Carney of the home; son, William Reid Carney; son
and daughter-in-law, William Franklin and Mary Ann Carney; son William Ed
Carney; and son, William Lee Carney, all of Blairsville; a grandson, Cody
Daniel Carney, also survives along with many other friends and relatives.

Mrs.
Cathrine Joan Bott, age 87, of Forest Circle, Blairsville, passed away on
Sunday, February 13, 2000 at her residence following an extended illness. Mrs. Bott was born on February 12, 1913 in
New York City, NY, the daughter of the late Edward N. Westerfelt and the late
Cathrine Kelly Westerfelt. She was of
the Lutheran Faith.
Surviving
are her companion of over eleven years, Emrie Gottfried of Blairsville, many
other friends and relatives also survive.
Memorial
