mr. jack creed hunter

 

Mr. Jack Creed Hunter, age 81, of Kennesaw, GA, formerly of Blairsville, GA, passed away Friday, February 14, 2003, in Kennestone Hospital in Marietta.

Mr. Hunter was born in Union County, Georgia on Monday, July 18, 1921, a son of the late William Jess Hunter and Sadie Collins Hunter.  A U.s. Army Veteran of World war II, he had served in the European Theatre.  A native of Blairsville, GA, he had lived in the Marietta area since the 1050ís.  Mr. Hunter was the owner of j>H. Land Development Company.

Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Stoyan Popov of Brussels, Belgium; son and daughter-in-law, William Jack and Soleine Hunter; two sisters: Austine Wallis of Athens, GA; Sue Souther of Blairsville, GA; and brother, Charlie M. Hunter of Blairsville; 6 grandchildren: Timothy, Lucas, Marine, and Sophie Hunter; Julien Bellagama and Matyas Bellagama; many friends and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, February 22, 2003, at 3:00 PM, at Choestoe Baptist Church in Blairsville, with Rev. Bethel Buchanan and Rev. Charles R. Stillwell officiating.  Visitation at the funeral home will begin on Friday evening, after 6 pm.  The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as pallbearers: Franklin Hunter, Charles Hunter, Neal Hunter, Charles R. Hunter, Robert Neal Collins, Jr., and Frank Alexander.  Interment will be in the church cemetery.
