Mr.
Milledge Henson, age 74, of Helens Way, Blairsville passed away on
Monday, march 10, 2008 in the Heartland
Hospice House in Macon, GA following
an extended illness. Mr. Henson was born
on April 8, 1933 in Union County, the son of the late Dewey Henson and
the late
Azzlee Payne Henson. He was a native and
lifelong resident of Union County. He was preceded in death by his wife, Omi
Grace Roberson Henson in 2003; a son, Lonnie Henson and a daughter
Barbara
Henson. Mr. Henson was of the Baptist
faith.
Surviving
Mr. Henson are nineteen children, Pam and Charlie Hinson of
Blairsville, Kay
and David Jenkins of Dawsonville, GA, Melody Brown of Blairsville,
Cricket and
Buck Dills of Blairsville, Mary Henson of Commerce, Mae and Rick Amato
of CT,
Kathy Lopez of Commerce, Gene and Ginger Young of Rome, GA, Jimmy and
Madelyn
Young of Gainesville, Dwayne and Katrina Henson of Blairsville, Thomas
Henson
of Gulfport, MS, Lola Sillings of CA, Carolyn Henson of Atlanta,
Charlene
Henson of Atlanta, David Henson of Cleveland, mark Henson of Cedartown,
Billy
Henson of Commerce, Dewey Henson of FL, and Richard Henson of GA; forty
grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; many other relatives
and
friends also survive.
Funeral
services were held on Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at 2 p.m. from the
funeral home
chapel with the Rev. Bo Whisnant officiating.
Special music was presented by Joshua Dills.
The following gentlemen served as pallbearers,
David and Cody Brown, Joshua Dills, Jacob Fox, Jacob Dills and Adam
Henson. Serving as honorary pallbearers
were Davie Jones and Charlie Hinson. Interment
followed in the Providence Methodist Church Cemetery.
The family met with friends at the funeral
home on Tuesday evening after 1 p.m., but especially from 6-8 p.m.

Rebecca
Anne St. John passed away suddenly on Monday, March 10, 2008.
She is
survived by her three daughters, Shelly Curle St. John, Mikellah Davis
Makepeace, Mckenzie Davis Payne, her five grandchildren and numerous
other
family members and friends she considered one and the same. Rockin’ Rebecca’s radio career spanned four
decades and five states. Her legacy is
the voice that made her a local celebrity as well as her excellent
taste in
music that she shared with listeners for many years.
She always said she it because she loved the
music and held dear to her heart the she was helping create the
“soundtracks”
for people’s everyday lives. Something
that Rebecca would have wanted everyone to know is just how very much
she loved
her listeners and how very important they were to her.
Rebecca St. John was one of those people that
always made you feel like a welcome friend.
Her love of life and her passion for music will be a long
lasting memory
for all of us. A Memorial Service was
Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 4 p.m. The
family received friends that evening.

Mrs.
Lassie Mae Brown, age 83, of Hiawassee, GA passed away on Wednesday,
March 12,
2008 following a period of declining health.
She was born the late Vaughn and Etna Williamson Brown on
February 28,
1925 in Union County, GA. She was
preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Commie Brown.
She is
survived by a daughter, Joyce Billegmeier, of MD;
sons, Dennis Brown, of Milledgeville, GA; Kenneth Brown, of Dayton, OH;
Edwin
Brown, of Newport, NC; brother, Robert Brown, of Young Harris, GA;
sisters,
Hubbie Henson, of Murphy, NC; Betty Maney, of Murphy, NC; Faye Dotson,
of
Dacula, GA; Ruby Swanson, of Lawrenceville, GA; fifteen grandchildren,
four
great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral
services were held on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 3 p.m. at Woods Grove
Baptist
Church with Rev. Danny Burch and Rev. Darrell Dale officiating. Pallbearers were the grandchildren. Interment was in Many Forks Baptist Church
Cemetery.

Mr.
William Daniel Orders, age 84, of Townhouse Drive, Blairsville passed
away on
Wednesday, March 12, 2008 in the Clay County Care Center following an
extended
illness. Mr. Orders was born on
September 18, 1923 in Meridian, MS, the son of the late William Daniel
Orders,
Sr. and the late Mary Kogh Orders. He
was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force of WWII.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge F&AM.
Mr. Orders attended Coosa United Methodist
Church.
Surviving
Mr. Orders are his loving wife of twenty-five years, Evelyn Clements
Orders of
Blairsville; one son and daughter-in-law, Leigh and Becky Orders of
Jacksonville, FL; one daughter and son-in-law, Claire and Max Long of
Tifton,
GA; one step-daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Les Parsons of Lilburn,
GA;
three-step sons, Tony Davis of Apache Junction, AZ, Terry Davis of
Jacksonville, FA, Lynn Davis of Suches, GA’; four grandchildren; many
other
relatives and friends also survive.
A memorial
services was held on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 12 p.m. from the
Mountain View
Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Daniel Nail officiating.
In lieu of flowers, if you wish, the family
requests that memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in
Mr. Orders memory. The
family met with friends following the services.

Mrs.
Beatrice Anagnostis, age 87 of Blairsville, GA, passed away Thursday,
March 13,
2008 at Clay County Care Center. Mrs.
Anagnostis was born Friday, May 21, 1920 in Union County to the late
Otis and
Carrie Gaddis Brackett. She had lived
and worked in Atlanta for a number of years before moving back to
Blairsville
in 1972. Mrs. Anagnostis was preceded in
death by her husband, Tommy Anagnostis.
Survivors
include: daughters Patricia Anagnostis and Paulette Anagnostis both of
St. Pete
Beach, FL.
Funeral
services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 15, 2008 from Cochran

Interment was in Providence Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mr.
Keith Frank Rogers, age 72, of St. Clair Shores, MI passed away on
Friday,
March 14, 2008 following
a brief
illness. Mr. Rogers was a proud and
active member of Pipe Fitters Local 636.
Mr. Rogers was born on July 18m, 1935in Blairsville, GA, the son
of the
late Joseph Fletcher Rogers and the late Virginia Davenport Rogers
O’Neil. Mr. Rogers was raised by his
grandparents,
the late Jim and Minnie Davenport. Mr.
Rogers was a member of Ivy Log Baptist Church.
Surviving
Mr. Rogers are three children, Kristie (Eric) Post, Brent (Nicole)
Rogers, and
Matthew Rogers all of St. Clair Shores, MI; two brothers, Max and the
late Lois
Rogers of Clinton Township, MI; and Rex and the late Sharon Rogers of
Blairsville, GA; four grandchildren, Alexander Robnkohl, Ashlee Post,
Eric
Post, and Amber Post all of St. Clair Shores, MI; several nieces,
nephews,
cousins; many other relatives and close friends also survive.
Funeral
services were held on Wednesday, March 19th, 2008 at 10 a.m. from the
Kaul
Funeral Home. The following gentlemen
served
as pallbearers, Ben BeYonker, Rick Ditchie, Jim
McAfee, jack Lance, Bud Atkins, and Hoyt Raper.
Interment followed in Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, Clinton
Township,
MI. The family met with friends at the
funeral home on Monday evening 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday evening 2-9 p.m.
