Mrs.
Jeanette C. Cromwell, age 76, of Blairsville, Georgia, passed away
Monday,
March 15, 1999 in Union General Hospital in Blairsville.
Mrs.
Cromwell was born Wednesday, November 19, 1922 in
Spalding County, Georgia, a daughter of the late
Grover Cowam
and Ruth Jackson Cowam. She was a
retired secretary.
Surviving are
her husband Bert Cromwell, of Blairsville; sister, Vee Slade, of
Charleston,
SC; brothers: Reggie Cowam of Macon, Georgia, and Buddy Cowan, of
Florida.

Mr.
Jim D. Floyd, age 49, of Blairsville, Georgia, passed away Monday,
March 15,
1999 at his home following an extended illness.
Mr. Floyd
was born in Union County, Georgia, on Tuesday, April 5, 1949, a son of
the late
Tom Floyd and Minnie Jackson Floyd. He
was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and had been a lifelong resident of
this area
Mr. Floyd was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
Surviving are
his brothers: Andrew floyd, of Charleston,
SC;
Willard, Kenneth, and T.A. Floyd Jr., all of Blairsville; sisters:
Verna Puett
of Blairsville, and Jo Ann Ricketts, of Michigan; uncle, George
Jackson, of Blairsville,
also survives, along with other family members and friends.
Funeral
services were held Thursday, march
18, 12999 at 11 a.m. from Antioch Baptist Church, with Rev. Bill Rabern
officiating. Special music was presented
by Tammy Floyd
and Kathleen Brose. The following
gentlemen served as pallbearers: Charley Floyd, Paul Puett, Jr., Tommy
Floyd,
Scott Lance, Jim McCarter, and John McCarter.
Interment was in Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.

Funeral Home of Blairsville in charge of
arrangements.
