William Donald Langlois, age 72 of Blairsville, GA, passed away
Saturday, March
22, 2008 at Union General Hospital. Mr.
Langlois was born Thursday, September 12, 1935 in Pawtucket, RI to the
late
Donald Langlois and the late Estelle Chapderlain Langlois.
Survivors
include: wife, Dolores Langlois of Blairsville, GA; daughter &
son-in-law,

Mr.
Edwin Joseph Krempecke, age 78, of Rothgeb Ridge Rd., Blairsville
passed away
on Wednesday, March 26, 2008 at his home following an extended illness. Mr. Krempecke was born on May 12, 1929 in
Trenton, NJ, the son of the late Edmond Krempecke and the late
Catherine
Ordorzk Krempecke. He retired in 1986
from the New Jersey Bell Telephone Company with over thirty years of
service. He was a veteran of the U.s.
Navy of the Korean War. He loved golf,
fishing, camping, skiing and was an outdoorsman. Most
of all he was a loving husband, father
and grandfather. He was preceded in
death by two sisters, Florence Hoyer and Bernice Anderson.
Mr. Krempecke was a member of St. Francis of
Assisi Catholic Church.
Surviving
Mr. Krempecke are his loving wife of twenty-two years, Kay Krempecke of
Blairsville; six children, Edwin and Deborah Krempecke of Johnson, VT,
Donna
and Mark Wilson of Jackson, NJ, Karen and Larry Turner of Blairsville,
Cheryl
and Richard Wortley of Tuscon, AZ, Hugh and Allison Hirth of Sunset
Beach, NC,
Brian Hirth of Washington, DC; two sisters, Evelyn Andrzjak of Phoenix,
AZ,
Jacquline Abbott of Allentown, NJ; eleven grandchildren, Jennifer, Michael and Christopher Wilson, Blair, Nicole
and Christine Goldbacher, Lara Turner, Alexander and Casandra Wortley
and
Nicolas Hirth; several nieces, nephews and many other relatives and
friends
also survive.
Funeral
services were held on Saturday, March 28, 2008 at 11 a.m. from St.
Francis of
Assisi Catholic Church with Father Richard Wise officiating. The following gentlemen served as
pallbearers, Hugh Hirth, Tony Kimball, Richard Stone and Larry Turner. Interment and graveside services followed on
Monday at 2 p.m. from the St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hamilton, NJ. The family met with friends on Friday evening
from 6-8 at Mountain View Funeral Home.

Mrs.
Marie Parker Rogers are 96 of Blairsville formerly of Ellijay died
Sunday,
March 16, 2008. Mrs. Rogers was born
February 17, 1912 in Liberty County, GA, the daughter of the late
Rollie Lee
and Rosa Coleman Parker. She was a
homemaker and the widow of Reginald F. Rogers.
Survivors
include: daughter, Rose Pinson Quarles of Blairsville; son, John Rogers
of
Cartersville; sister, Frances Bresnahan, of Las Vegas, NV; 4
grandchildren; and
4 great-grandchildren.
Graveside
services were held Tuesday, March 18, 2008 at 2
p.m. from the Ellijay City Cemetery with Rev. Steve Fields and Rev.
Michael
Morrison officiating. Music was
presented by Irene Wofford. Pallbearers
were: Roger Pinson, Mark Pinson, and Rene Stover.

Mr.
Ian C.J. Kaser, age 24, of lake Cove Lodge
Rd.,
Blairsville passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2008 in Union General
Hospital
following a sudden illness. Mr. Kaser
was born on April 25, 1983 in Columbus, GA, the son of Herman Kaser and
Eveningstar Ray Kaser. Mr. Kaser was of
the Baptist faith.
Surviving Mr.
Kaser are one daughter, Aliena Carter of Blairsville; fiancée, Amber
Carter of
Blairsville; mother and step-father, Eveningstar and James Terry of
Blairsville; father, Herman Kaser of Rome, GA; two brothers and one
sister-in-law, Mikael and Felicia Kaser of Blairsville, Trevor Kaser of
Rome,
GA; grandparents, Charles and Marion Brown of Tuscon, AZ; several
aunts,
uncles, cousins and many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral
services were held on Monday, March 31, 2008 from the funeral home
chapel with
the rev. Stacy Dyer officiating. Special
music was a selection of Ian’s favorite hymns.

Helen
Cearley Woody, age 89, died Friday, March 21, 2008 at The Oaks. She was a native of Blairsville, GA, the
daughter of the late Gaylor Brite Cearley and Carrie Mae Jones Cearley
and the
wife of the late Orville Woody. She was
preceded in death by her daughters, Nelda Jane Woody and Cora Lee
Shipley;
sister, Lena Seabolt and brothers, Rufus and G.B. Cearley.
Surviving
are her daughters, Robbie Jean Smathers of Pisgah Forest, NC and Geri
Felkel of
Brevard, NC; sister, Johnnie Patterson of pecks Mill, WV;
grandchildren, Rick

Beatrice “Bea” Walling, age 98 of Peachtree city, GA, formerly of
Blairsville,
passed away Saturday, March 29, 2008 at Southland Nursing Home. Mrs. Walling was born Saturday, July 17, 1909
in Orangeburg County, SC to the late Joseph A. Spires and the late Ida
Scott
Spires. She was a member of First United
Methodist Church of non County and was preceded in death by her
husband, Gordon
C. Walling; son, William G. Walling and brother, Hubert Spires.
Survivors
include: grandson, William Walling; many nieces, nephews and other
relatives.

and interment were held Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at 1 p.m. at the Elm

Mrs.
Elizabeth Jean Bedford, age 75, of Blairsville, GA passed away on
Wednesday,
March 26, 2008 following a period of declining health.
She was born to the late Nicolas J. and
Lillian Smith Kuiper on September 5, 1932 in Passaic County, NJ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr.
Lamont Bedford in January 2007.
She is
survived by her daughter, Noreen Bedford of Blairsville, GA; daughter
and
son-in-law, Barbara Jean and Eric Upright of Susquehanna, PA; daughter
and
son-in-law, Lori-Lynn and Jim Marcello of Windsor, NY; son, Keith L.
Bedford of
Pennsylvania; brothers, Nick Kuiper, of New Jersey, William Kuiper of
Susquehanna, PA, Allan Kuiper of Florida; sister, Mae Wright of
Pennsylvania;
ten grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and

also survive.

Mr.
Norman Herbert Britton, age 95, of Wesley Mtn. Drive, Blairsville
passed away
on Monday, March 24, 2008 in Heritage health Care in Blue Ridge
following an
extended illness. Mr. Britton was born
on August 20, 1912 in Toronto, Canada, the son of the late Amos Britton
and the
late Jesse Britton. Norman was a loving
husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He was devoted to helping others for most of
all, praying for others. He was preceded
in death by his wife, Rita Megginson Britton who passed away on
February 10,
2007. Mr. Britton was a member of the
House of Prayer Church.
Surviving
Mr. Britton are four sons and two daughters-in-law, Doug and Judy
Britton of
Blairsville, Don and Ann Britton of Blairsville, Ted Britton of
Pacifica, Ca,
Bill Hilsinger of Pacifica, CA; six grandchildren, Linda Langman, Diane
Enns,
Jonathan David, Vince and Jeff Britton; fourteen great-grandchildren,

Cara and Jenaya Langman, Amy, Casandra, Alice and Emmy Britton, Jana,

Nolan Enns, Denae, Rhett, jack and Chris Britton; many other relatives

his loving wife of sixty-nine years, Rita.

McQueen Coleman, age 65 of Blairsville, GA, passed away Friday, March

at his home. Coleman was born Monday,
June 29, 1942 in Winston-Salem, NC to the late Wallace McQueen Coleman

graduate of Avondale High School Class of 1960.
He had been a resident of Union County for the past 8 years,
moving here
from Gwinnett County, GA. Mr. Coleman
was of the Lutheran Faith.
