lynn mccormack stultz

 

Mrs. Lynn McCormack Stultz, age 75, of Kendrick Rd., Blairsville formerly of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2007 at her home following an extended illness.  Mrs. Stultz was born on April 17, 1931 in Covina, CA, the daughter of the late Roy McCormack and the late Gladys Dilley McCormack.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew her.  Mrs. Stultz attended the Blairsville Christian Center.

Surviving Mrs. Stultz are her loving husband of fifty-eight years, Richard Stultz of Blairsville; three sons and daughters-in-law,, Richard and Ginny Stultz of WA, Christopher and Jacqueline Stultz of Margate, FL, Timothy and Carolyn Stultz of Boca Raton, FL; five daughters and four sons-in-law, Linda and Joseph Nickerson of Blairsville, Sandra and Frank Loya of Blairsville, Teresa and Jorge Correa of Pasadena, CA, Mary Stultz of Pasadena, CA, Rita and Barry Van Beers of Blairsville; twenty-three grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Memorial services were held on Monday, April 2, 2007 at 4 p.m. from the Blairsville Christian Center with pastor Wofford Kelley and Pastor Chris Stultz officiating.  Special music was presented by Sarah Kelley.  In lieu of flowers, if you wish, the family requests that memorials may be made to “His Lambs, Our Lambs” the Blairsville Christian Center in Mrs. Stultz’s memory.

faye lance jones

 

Mrs. Faye Lance Jones, age 63 years old, of national City, CA, passed away March 13, 2007.  She was born October 6, 1943 in Blairsville, GA.  Her parents, Elbert and Inez Lance of the Owltown District, are deceased.  She was a retired assistant bookkeeper.

She is survived by her husband, Riley; two sons, Jason and Tim; sisters, Sheila Colditz, Rachel Reece, and Darlene Walker; brother, Jimmy, Rick, and David Lance.

A memorial service will be held at Shady Grove Methodist Church at 2 p.m. on April 14, 2007.  Reverend Bob Bone will be officiating. 

IN lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations may be made in her memory to the American Lung Association, 9605 Scranton Road, Suite 240, San Diego, CA 92121 or the Alzheimer’s Association, 2D65W. El Camino Real, Suite C, Mountain View, CA 94040.

The family will great friends and relatives in the fellowship area of the church following hte service.

cecil calvin chambers

 

Mr. Cecil Calvin Chambers, age 79, of Lawrenceville, GA, passed away Tuesday, March 27th, 2007.  Mr. Chambers was a native of Union County, GA, and a son of the late Calvin Juan Chambers and Myrtle Ivey Jordan Chambers.  He was born Tuesday February 28, 1928.  He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, and a member of Hebron Baptist Church in Dacula.  Mr. Chambers had been a resident of Atlanta during the years of 1966 through 1988.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Eula Lee Turner Chambers; a son, Anthony Chambers; his parents, Calvin and Myrtle Chambers; three sisters: Marie Burnette, Rachel Chambers, and Audrey Sheffield; three brothers, jay, Ray, and Jerry Chambers.

Surviving family members include daughter and son-in-law, Donna and James Mills, of Atlanta; son, Richard L. Chambers, of Lawrenceville; sisters, Ellavie Walden, of Pensacola, Florida and Retha Overstreet, of Blairsville; and brothers, Roger Chambers, of Blue Ridge, GA, Earl Chambers, of Morganton, GA, and Winston Chambers, of Blairsville; grandchildren, Holli Mills of Charlotte, NC, and Courtni Mills, of Atlanta; many nieces, nephews, and other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held Friday, March 30, 2007, at 1 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church, with Brother James Mills officiating.  Special music was presented by Janit McKinney, Lew McKinney, Carolyn Filer, and Glenda Montgomery. The following gentlemen served as pallbearers: Richard Chambers, Bobby Overstreet, Butch Treadwell, Kent Montgomery, Larry Vivian, and Brian Leech.  Burial was in the church cemetery.  The family met with friends on Thursday evening, from 5:30 p.m. until 9 p.m.  If you wish, memorial contributions may be made to The American Diabetes Foundation, Atlanta Georgia Office, 17 Executive Park, Suite 115, Atlanta, GA 30329-2012.

ellen blount

 

Mrs. Ellen Blount, age 65, of Trogan St. Orlando, Fl formerly of Blairsville, passed away on Wednesday, March 28, 2007 following a brief illness.  Mrs. Blount was born on December 10, 1942 in Lakeland, Fl, the daughter of the late I.U. Underwood and the late Emma Woody Hampton.  She and her husband had their own home building business, which they operated for several years.  Mrs. Blount was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving Mrs. Blount are two sons, Billy Larrimore of Orlando, FL and Michael Collins of Panama City, FL; one sister, Virginia Myers of Blairsville; three grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and many other relatives and friends also survive.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.  In lieu of flowers, if you wish, the family requests that memorials may be made to the House of Prayer Church in Mrs. Blount’s memory.

mrs. ruby mae brown

 

Mrs. Ruby Mae Brown, age 84, of Gainesville Hwy. Blairsville, passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2007 in Union General Hospital following a brief illness.  Mrs. Brown was born on October 31, 1922 in Towns County, the daughter of the late mark Moore and the late Emma Hunter Moore.  She was a lifelong resident of Union County.  She was preceded in death by a sister, Geneva Gordon in 2004.  Mrs. Brown was a member of new Liberty Baptist Church.

Surviving Mrs. Brown are two daughters, Jozene King of Blairsville Darla Norton of Blairsville; one son and daughter-in-law, Gerald and Charlene Brown of Stockbridge, GA; two brothers and one sister-in-law, W.G. and Lilly Moore of Eatonton, GA, Vaughn Moore of Blairsville; five grandchildren, Tammy Arp of Myrtle Beach, SC, Cody Norton, Sheila Cash, Sherrie Stover and Sheryl Copeland all of Blairsville; six great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services were held on Saturday; march 31, 2007 at 2 p.m. from the funeral home chapel with the rev. Jimmy Tanner and Rev. Danny White officiating.  Special music was presented by Moe Buckner.  The following gentlemen served as pallbearers, Cody Norton, Scott Norton, Shane Gibson, Terry Stover, Carroll Brown, and Calvin Collins.  Interment followed in the New Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.  Flowers are accepted or in lieu of, donations may be made to the New Liberty Baptist Church Building Fund in Mrs. Brown’s memory.
