Mrs.
Juanseal Lance Dowell, age 58, of Morganton, Georgia, passed away
Sunday, April
12, 1998 Union General Hospital in Blairsville.
Mrs. Dowell was born in Union County, Georgia, on June 10, 1939
a
daughter of Lora Richards Lance and the late Stanley
Lance. She worked in Atlanta for
BellSouth for
thirty-three years, as a computer operator.
Mrs. Dowell was a member of winters Chapel Baptist Church in
Doraville.
Surviving
are her mother, LORA Lance of Blairsville; son and daughter-in-law,
Terry and
Ouida Dowell, of Blairsville; daughter and her fiancé, Michelle Dowell
and
Chris Harrison; sisters, Frances Butler of Clarkesville, GA., Carneal
Burnette
of Cumming, GA., and Mildred Baucom of Norcross, GA.; brother, Richmond
Lance
of Blairsville; grandsons, Timothy Dowell, Stanley Dowell and Alex
Dowell, all
of Blairsville.
Funeral
services were held Wednesday, April 15, 1998 at 11 a.m. from the chapel
of
Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville with Rev. Jim Ferguson officiating. Special music was presented by Ken and Elaine
Young, and Greg Burnette. The following
gentlemen served as pallbearers: Chris
Harrison, John Butler, Frank Burnette, Mike Butler, Tony Prickett, and
Greg
Burnette. Interment was in Mt. Zion
Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs.
Lillian Garrett, age 64, of 1717 Coopers Creek Road, Suches, Georgia
went to
live with Jesus, Thursday, April 16, 1998.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Union County, a
homemaker and
member of Corinth Baptist Church in Union County. Mrs.
Garrett, a loving wife, mother, and
grandmother was preceded in death by her brother: Henry Lovell. She is survived by her loving husband of 48
years: Monroe Garrett, Suches, Georgia; daughter and son-in-law, Carol
and Ric Parks,
Murrayville, Georgia; brother, Earl Lovell, Blairsville, Georgia;
sisters, Ruby
Garrett, Suches, Geneva Garrett, Suches, Mildred Burnett, Blairsville,
Bessie
Cain, Gainesville, Georgia, Opal McGaha, Young Harris, Georgia, Linda
Thomas,
Gainesville, Elena Stanley, Blairsville; grandchildren: Jennifer Parks
and
Matthew Parks; several other relatives also survive.
Funeral
services were held Saturday, April 18, 1998 at 2 p.m. at the Banister

Rev. Trace
Lasher officiating. Interment was in
Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Suches, Georgia.
