Mr.
Gerald
Wayne Plott, age 43, of Blairsville, Georgia, passed away Friday, April
18,
1997 in Union General Hospital in Blairsville.
Mr. Plott
was born in Buncombe County, North Carolina, on
January 11, 1954, a son of Eugene Plott and Mildred McClure Plott. He was a local dairy farmer and had lived
most of his life in this area. Mr. Plott was of the Baptist faith, and
had
been preceded in death by a brother, Edward C. Plott.
Surviving are his wife, Patsy Henson
Plott, of Blairsville; children,
Nora Christina Plott and Jeremiah Wayne Plott, both of Blairsville; his
parents, Eugene and Mildred Plott of Blairsville; sister, Nancy Conley
of
Blairsville; many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral
services were held Sunday, April 20, 1997 at 6 p.m. from the chapel of
Cochran
Funeral Home in Blairsville with rev. Mark Towery, Jr., and Rev. Brent Chatham officiating. Special music was presented by Craig Collins,
Leslie Hughes, Michelle Rowe, and Melissa Henson. The
following gentlemen served as
pallbearers: Rex Patton, Michael Spiva, Bud Murphy, Jim McCollum, Bud
Weaver,
David Payne, Phil Patton, Ronnie Groves and Junior Lovell.
Interment was in Union Memory Gardens
Cemetery.
