Mrs.
Sarah Elizabeth Smith, age 94 of Blairsville, passed away April 17,
2012 at Union General Hospital. Mrs. Smith was born April 7, 1918 in Fannin Co. GA to the late John H. Cole and the
late Bessie Quintrell Cole. A member of
Williamstown United Methodist Church, she was preceded in death by
Father, John H. Cole, mother, Bessie Quintrell
Cole husband Hoke Smith and 15 siblings.
Survivors
include her niece Venicia Davenport and
many other nieces and nephews.
Funeral
services were held Friday, April 20, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the Copper
Ridge Memorial Gardens, with the Rev. Guinn Jenkins officiating.
The
family received friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue
Ridge, Thursday, April 19, 2012 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm.

Terri
“Pauline” Wilder, age 47, of Lee Harkins RD, Blairsville, passed away
Monday, April 16, 2012 at Union General Hospital. She was born June 19,
1964 in Atlanta, GA. Pauline moved here nine years ago from Cobb
County. She was a loving daughter, sister, mother and grandmother.
Pauline loved camping, fishing and loved anything outdoors. She was
preceded in death by her mother Bennie Dukes Cornett. She was a a member of New
Hope Fellowship.
Survivors
include her father, James Cornett of Austell, GA, children, Jamye and Steven Pierce of Dallas, GA, Daniel
Wilder of Blairsville, GA, Christopher Wilder of the U S Army stationed
in Germany. Kaleigh Wilder of Blairsville,
GA, sisters, Penny and Gary Flynn of Somerset, KY, Kim Cornett of
Lexington, SC, Shannon Kilgore of Austell, GA, brother Jim Cornett of
Austell, GA, grandchildren Destiney and
Lila Pierce and several nephews.
Funeral
services were held Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Mountain View
Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Val Kozik
officiating. Interment followed in the Henderson Family Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Steven Pierce, Daniel Wilder, Chris Wilder, Kim
Cornett, Colt Atkins and Jimmy Cornett. The family received friends at
the funeral home Friday evening from 5 until 8 p.m.

Cochran
Funeral Home of Blairsville announces funeral services for Mrs. Eloise Addington Gray, age 90, of Blairsville, GA, who
passed away on Friday, April 20, 2012 in North Carolina.
Mrs.
Gray was born in Union County, GA, on November 11, 1921, a daughter of
the late Herman T. Addington and the late
Laura Belle Jones Addington. She was a
homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Blairsville. She was
preceded in death by her husband, Richard Gerald Gray, who passed away
in 2009; and a sister, Ruth Addington
Walker, who passed away this year.
Eloise
will be greatly missed by all, especially by her family: daughter and
son-in-law, Jerry Sue and Terry Bowersox,
of Fuquay-Varina, NC; daughter and son-in-law, Anna Lee and Wayne
Huffman of Herndon, VA; grandchildren: David S. Bowersox;
Dianna L. Dell; Gary R. Huffman; Gregory T. Huffman; nine great
grandchildren; and sister: Regenia Addington Nichols and her husband Quince, of
Atlanta; many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral
services have been scheduled for Thursday, April 26, 2012, at 12 noon,
in The Rock Chapel of First Baptist Church of Blairsville, with Rev.
Danny Parris officiating. Special music will be presented by Minister
of Music R. Terry Hooper. The following gentlemen have been selected to
serve as pallbearers: David Bowersox,
Terry Bowersox, Anthony Hamby, Gary
Huffman, Gregory Huffman, Wayne Huffman, James Postell,
Jeffrey Walker, and James Williams. Serving as honorary escort to the
family will be Dianna Dell and William Ferguson. Burial will be in
Union Memory Gardens Cemetery in Blairsville.
The
family will meet with friends on Thursday, April 26, at 11 a.m., for
one hour prior to the beginning of the service.
