Mr.
Zed William Seabolt, age 88, of Blairsville, Georgia, passed away
Friday, April
23, 1999 in Union General Hospital in Blairsville.
Mr. Seabolt
was born in Union County, Georgia, on Saturday, may
28, 1910, a son of the late George Seabolt and Nancy Cain Seabolt. He was a former and a life long resident of
this area. Mr. Seabolt was a member and
deacon of Old Liberty Baptist Church, and also taught Sunday School. He had
served as a deacon for 30 years.
Surviving
are his wife, Mary Nelson Seabolt, of Blairsville; sons: Jerrell
Seabolt and
Ray Seabolt, both of Blairsville; son and daughter in law, john and
Becky
Seabolt, of Blairsville; sister, Ruby Willis, of Gainesville; many
friends and
other relatives also survive.
Funeral
services were held Saturday, April 24, 1999 at 2 p.m. from Old Liberty
Baptist
Church, with Rev. Jerry Young and Rev. Harley Hunter officiating. Special music was presented by Ellen Collins
and Old Liberty Choir. The following
gentlemen served as pallbearers: gene Collins, Calvin Collins, A.J.
Collins, Eddie
Dyer, Troy Dyer, and Junior Brown. Interment
was in Old Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr.
Weston W. Blackmer, age 70, of Blairsville, Georgia, passed away
Friday, April
23, 1999 at his home.
Mr.
Blackmer was a native of Rockford, Illinois, and was born Tuesday,
March 5,
1929, a son of the late Wesley Blackmer and Vera Wilson Blackmer. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served
in the Korean War. Mr. Blackmer had been
living in the Blairsville area since 1984, coming here from Lake Worth,
Florida. He was a member of All Saints
Lutheran Church in Blairsville and the Union County Wood Carving Club. Mr. Blackmer was retired from the Palm Beach
County Parks Department.
Surviving
are his wife, Barbara Blackmer, of Blairsville; sons and daughter in
laws:
Wayne and Judy Blackmer, of Blairsville, Bryan and Elly Blackmer, of
Lake
Worth; son, Royce Blackmer, of Lantana, Florida; and daughter, Gayle
Raulerson,
of Ft. Pierce, Florida; 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren also
survive.
Memorial
services are scheduled for May 1, at 10:30 a.m. from All Saint’s
Lutheran
Church in Blairsville. In lieu of
flowers, if you wish, memorials may be made to All Saint’s Memorial

Mrs.
Lillian E. Grizzle, age 85, of Suches, Georgia, passed away Wednesday,
April
21, 1999 at her residence following an extended illness.
Mrs. Grizzle was a native and lifelong
resident of Union County, a homemaker and member of Mt. Pleasant
Baptist Church
#2 in Union County.
She is
survived by her husband, Mr. Authur Grizzle, of Suches, Georgia;
daughters and
son in law: Virginia Anderson, Dahlonega, Georgia; Retha and Richard
Lee,
Woodstock, Georgia; sons and daughter in law, Junior Grizzle, Suches,
Georgia;
Wayne and Jeanette Grizzle, Duluth, Georgia; Robert Grizzle, Suches,
Georgia;
sisters: Mattie Lee Ridley, Dahlonega, Georgia; Ruth Griffin,
Blairsville,
Georgia; 19 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, and 1 great great
grandchild. A large number of other
relatives also survive.
Funeral
services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Friday, April 23,
1999 at the Banister Funeral Home Chapel in Dahlonega with Rev. Everett
Thompson officiating. Interment will
follow in the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church #2 Cemetery
in Union County.

mr. lawrence edward thompson, II
Mr.
Lawrence Edward Thompson, II, of Blairsville, Georgia, passed away
Wednesday,
April 21, 1999, in Clay County Care Center in Hayesville, NC.
Mr.
Thompson was a native of Harrison County, West Virginia, and was an
attorney. Mr. Thompson had been living
in the Blairsville area since 1979, coming here from Lakeland, Florida. He was an inactive member of West Virginia’s
and Florida’s bar association, a and served
for
twenty-five years as a special agent for the FBI. Mr.
Thompson was of the Presbyterian Faith.
Surviving
are his wife, Mildred Thompson, of Blairsville; son, Lawrence E.
Thompson, III,
of Asheville, CN; grandchildren: Heather Thompson Mackey of
Kernersville, NC; 1st
Lt. Christopher Thompson, of McGuire AFB, NJ; Richard L. Thompson, of
Atlanta,
and Chad Meadow’s Thompson of Lakeland, Florida.

services are scheduled for Saturday, May 1, 1999 at 2 p.m. at Mt.
Presbyterian
Church.

Mrs.
Ruth Mull, age 84, of Cartersville, Georgia, formerly of Blairsville,
Georgia
passed away Sa5turday, April 17, 1999 in Kennestone Hospital in
Marietta.
Mrs. Mull
was born in Fannin County, Georgia, on Thursday, February 4, 1915, a
daughter
of the late Thomas Jayhue Robinson and Sara Elizabeth Marril Robinson. She was a homemaker. Mrs.
Mull was a member of First Baptist
Church of Hopewell, Georgia. She was
preceded in death by her husband, Hoyt P. Mull, in 19917.
Surviving
are her sons: Bill E. Hayes, of Utah; Thomas J. Hayes, of Marietta; and
mark
Mull, of Blairsville; daughter, Linda Gossett, of Cartersville; a host
of
grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral
services were held Wednesday, April 21, 1999 at 2 p.m. from the Chapel
of
Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville, with Rev. Don Hood officiating. Special music was presented by The Kelley
Trio. The following gentlemen served as pallbearers: Jay Hayes, Dennis
Baggett,
Joe Douglas, Eddie Charles, Jason Hayes, and Jerry Gilreath. Interment was in Bethlehem Baptist Church
Cemetery.
