mr. charles robert (bob) kersey
Mr.
Charles
Robert (Bob) Kersey, age 66, of 13679 Wild Hog Creek Circle, Suches,
GA, passed
away died April 22, 1997 at his residence following a brief illness. Mr. Kersey was a native of Fort Lauderdale,
Florida who had lived in Suches since 1991.
He was a former resident of Atlanta.
He was a retired vice president of Consumer Finance with
Chrysler
Corporation. He was a member of Mt.
Lebanon Baptist Church in Suches and was a U.S. Air Force Veteran.
He is
survived by his wife, Mrs. Glenys Kersey of Suches,
GA.; sons, Robert Kersey of Royse City, TX.,
Charles
Kersey of Acworth, GA., and David Kersey of Norcross, GA.; daughters,
Cathy
Scates of Rowlett, TX., and Becky Miller of Ada, Oklahoma; brother,
R.A. Kersey
of Palm City, FL.; thirteen grandchildren and several other relatives
also
survive.
Funeral
services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 25, 1997
at the Mount Lebanon Baptist Church in Suches with Rev. Jimmy Tanner
officiating. Interment followed in the
church
cemetery. Banister Funeral Home of
Dahlonega in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Eual
Paris Moss, age 57, of Blairsville, Georgia, formerly of Hiawassee,
Georgia passed
away Friday, April 18, 1997 in Union General Hospital.
Mr. Moss
was born in Towns County, a daughter of the late
Alfred and Dollie Garrett Moss. She was
of the Baptist Faith and attended Bell Scene Baptist Church.
Survivors
include son, Ronnie Crane of Jefferson, GA.; brothers, Marvin Moss of
Hiawassee, GA.; William C. Moss of Blairsville, GA.; and Zeano Moss of
Rex,
GA.; sister, Jewell Barrett of Clermont, GA.; several nieces and
nephews also
survive.
Funeral
services were held Tuesday, April 22,
1997 at 11 a.m. from the chapel of
Cochran Funeral Home with Rev. Clark Moss officiating.
Pallbearers were Paul Moss, Danny Joe Moss,
Carl Weaver, and Randy Hawkins. Interment
was followed in Bell Scene Baptist Cemetery.

Miss
Vera Ethel Dyer, age 84, of Cartersville, Georgia, formerly of
Blairsville, Georgia,
passed away Wednesday, April 23, 1997 in Starcrest Nursing Home in
Cartersville.
Miss Dyer was born August
13, 1912 in Union County, Georgia a
daughter of
the late Frank A. Dyer and Cora Logan Dyer.
She was a member of Choestoe Baptist Church.
Miss Dyer was preceded in death by a brother,
Hugh Dyer, and a sister, Grovie Nix.
Surviving are sister,
Jean Dyer
Carter of Calhoun; a brother, Bill Dyer of Blairsville; nieces and
nephews,
Lynn Greene and Sandra Rollins, both of Calhoun, Johnny Carter of Rome,
GA.,
Kim Thomas and Curtis Dyer, both of Blairsville, Stanley Dyer of
Monroe, GA.
and Wanda and Larry Dyer of Mableton.
Funeral
services were held Friday, April 25, 1997 at 3 p.m. from Choestoe
Baptist
Church with Rev. James Geer and Rev. Jerry Helton officiating. Special
music
was presented by Kim Thomas and Johnny Carter.
The following gentlemen served as pallbearers:
Larry Thomas, Lamar Greene, Curtis Dyer,
Stanley Dyer, Jeff Carter, and Jack Dyer.
Interment was in Choestoe Cemetery.

Mrs.
Katie
Keith, age 95, of Blairsville, Georgia, passed away Friday, April 25,
1997 in
Fannin Regional Hospital in Blue Ridge, Georgia.
Mrs.
Keith was born November 8, 1901, in Union County, Georgia,
a daughter of the late W.H. Brewer and Lula Bell Young Brewer. She was a homemaker and a lifelong resident
of this area. Mrs. Keith was a member of
Liberty Baptist Church. She had been
preceded in death by her husband, Simon Keith, in 1991, and a son,
Hubert
Morgan in 1997.
Surviving
are daughter in law, Wilma Morgan, of Mabelton, GA.; brother, B.J.
Brewer of
Blairsville; four grandchildren, three great grandchildren, and one
great great
grandchild also survive, along with several nieces and nephews.
Funeral
services were held Saturday, April 26, 1997 at 4 p.m. from the chapel
of
Cochran Funeral Home in Blairsville with Rev. Mark Towery, Jr.
officiating. Special music was presented
by Ken and Elaine
Young. Interment was in Liberty Baptist
church Cemetery.

Mrs.
Beulah
May Powell, age 65, of Blairsville, Georgia, passed away Thursday,
April 24,
1997 in Union General Hospital in Blairsville.
Mrs.
Powell was born March 30, 1932 a daughter of James
Virgil Wright and Ardella Eisnhut Wright, in Knox County, Indiana. She was a homemaker.
Surviving
are her parents, James and Ardella Wright; children, Jim and Amber
Powell,
Dallas and Chris Powell, Deanna and Jeff Nance, Dan and Lynn Powell,
Debbie and
Joey Woods, and Denise Powell; sisters, Debbie Goldman, Delores Burkes,
Pat
Tracy, and Linda Hendrixson; brothers, Steve Wright, Bob Wright, and
Fred
Wright; fourteen grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive.
Funeral
services were held Monday, April 28, 1997 at 1:30 p.m. from Vincennes
First
Church of the Nazarene, with Brother Taylor officiating.
Soloist was Julie Moore. Interment
was in Vincennes Memorial Park
Cemetery in Indiana.
