Cecil
Almond Hughes, age 62, of Cumming, GA. Formerly of Murphy, N.C. died
Sunday,
May 3, 1998 in Cumming, GA.
He was a
native of Union County, GA. He was a
carpenter. He was the son of Arnold Lee
Hughes of Murphy, N.C. and the late Dolly Beavers Hughes.
In addition
to his father, he is survived by his wife, Roberta Riley Hughes; three
daughters, Peggy Ann Richards, Sandra Hughes and Melissa Bowen, all of
Cumming,
GA.; one brother, Floyd HUGHES of Murphy, N.C.; three sisters, Mildred
Davenport of Blairsville, GA., Lillie Breeden of Woodstock, GA. and
Carmen
Carver of Jasper, GA.; six grandson, one granddaughter, one
step-granddaughter,
one great-grandson and three step-great-granddaughters.
Funeral
services were held Tuesday, May 5, 1998 at the Townson Rose Funeral
Home
Chapel, Murphy, N.C.
The Rev. Hoyt Brown officiated.
Burial was in the Notla Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Keith Franklin, Jr.
Russell, Ottis Franklin, David Hughes, Douglas Davenport and Bill
Davenport.
The family
will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Monday, May 4, 1998 at the Townson
Rose
Funeral Home, Murphy, N.C.
Townson
Rose Funeral Home is in charge of
arrangements.
