Mr.
Rubby Hal Ramsey, age 75, of Homesteader Drive in Cumming, GA, formerly
of
Blairsville, passed away on Friday, may 2,
2008 at his
home following an extended illness. Mr.
Ramsey was born on Aug. 28, 1933 in Cosby, TN, the son of the late
Robert Edward Ramsey and the late Roxanne Phillips
Ramsey. He was preceded in death by
a son, Edward
Ramsey and by two brothers, Buddy and Densil Ramsey.
Mr. Ramsey was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving
Mr. Ramsey are his loving wife of fifty-six years, Alice Gentry Ramsey
of
Cumming, two daughters and one son-in-law, Dean Ritchie of Blairsville,
Tammy
and Charles Lloyd of Cumming, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Clayton
and Mary
Frances Ramsey of Blairsville, Junior and Joyce Ramsey of Suches, two
sisters
and one brother-in-law, Barbara and Jerry Stahlkuppe of Murphy, NC,
Shirley
Brown of Blairsville, three grandchildren; Layla, Allison and Samantha,
four
great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral
services were held on Monday, May 5, 2008 at 2 p.m.
from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. David Harrison officiating. Special music was presented by the Faith
Singers. The following gentlemen served
as pallbearers; Jack Hawkins, Charles Grizzle, Joe Vaughn, Leonard
Jones, Riley
Jones, John Harden and J.W. Harden. Interment
followed in the Old Martins Creek Cemetery.
The family met with friends at the funeral home on Sunday
evening from
6-9 p.m.

Mrs.
Carleen Falls Totherow age 41, of Warren Trailer Park Rd. in
Blairsville passed
away on Wednesday, April 30, 2008 at her home following a sudden
illness. Mrs. Totherow was born on March
24, 1967 in
Atlanta, GA, the daughter of Clara Gibby Falls and the late Carl Falls
Jr. She was preceded in death by a son,
Timmothy
Derreberry, who passed away this year.
Carleen was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She was a member of the HOUSE of Prayer
Church in Andrews, N.C.
Surviving
Mrs. Totherow are her loving husband of ten years, J.C. Totherow of
Blairsville,
one daughter, Jennifer Derreberry of Blairsville, one son, Shane
Derreberry of Blairsville,
mother and stepfather, Clara and Denford DeFoor of Ellijay, three
sisters and
one brother-in-law, Patricia Kendall and Renee Morrow both of Ellijay,
Milissa
and Kenny Southers of Bryson City, NC., grandparents, Marvie and Clyde
Truell
of Andrews, three grandchildren, Coleson, Adrian and Noah Derreberry. Many other relatives and friends also
survive.
Funeral
services were held on Saturday, may 3, 2008 at 2
p.m. from the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Jeff Graham and Rev.
Tommy
Jones officiating. Special music was
presented
by the Kelly Trio. The following gentlemen
served as pallbearers; Harland Underwood, William Totherow, Jimmy
Totherow,
Jason Totherow, Scott Jones, Charles Totherow, Michael Totherow, David
Totherow
and Kevin Collett. Interment followed in
the Henderson Family Cemetery where she was laid to rest next to her
son,
Timmothy.
