Mrs.
Dorothea R. Clinchard, age 87, wife of Dr. Wm. H. Clinchard
(predeceased), of
Lakeside Village in Blairsville, passed away on Monday, May 3, 1999 at
her
daughter’s home in Wellington, FL. She
left behind her daughter Connie Tellex and her husband Michael
Tellex and two grandchildren, Christopher and Brittany. She also left her son, Michael Cole and his
wife, Judy Cole and two grandchildren, Kelly Ann and Kevin. Dorothea has a sister, Helen Hooker in
Atlanta.
Mrs.
Clinchard has resided in the Blairsville area for the
last 21 years and enjoyed being a Pink Lady at Union General Hospital. Her other love was her twice weekly bridge
games at the Lakeside Village Clubhouse.
She also resided in the Canal Zone in Panama and there was very
active
in Eastern Star, Orchid Chapter and the Rebecca Lodge, Order of the
Oddfellows.
A
memorial service was held on Saturday, may 8 in Royal Palm
Beach, FL at the Palms Wet Funeral Home.
It was attended by friends both of Georgia and Florida and
family from
Iowa. A celebration of her life was held
afterwards at her daughter’s home in Wellington.
Dorothea
Clinchard leaves behind many friends and family
members and wonderful friends. We will
miss the beautiful songs she played on the organ.

Mrs.
Inda Seabolt Mason Horne, age 101, of the Chattanooga area, formerly of
Blairsville, Georgia, passed away Thursday, May 13, 1999 at Hutchenson
Medical
Center of Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia. Mrs.
Horne was born in Fannin County, Georgia, on Thursday, march
19, 1898, a daughter of the late Montoe Seabolt and Amanda Shope
Seabolt. She was a homemaker and a 90 year
member of
Skennah Baptist Church. Mrs. Horne was
preceded in death by two husbands Claude G. mason and William Lee
Horne; step
mother, Edie Walker Seabolt; brothers, Clinton and Hobart Seabolt; and
sister
Roberta Seabolt Rogers.
Survivors
include a daughter, Claudine Mason Adkins, of Rossville, GA; one son,
William
E. “Jim” Mason, of Alto, GA; one sister, Lola Patton Seabolt; and one
brother,
Hayden Seabolt, both of Blairsville; three grandsons, and four great
grandchildren
also survive.
Funeral
services were held Saturday, May 15, 1999 at 1 p.m. from the chapel of
Cochran
Funeral Home with Rev. Ray Potts officiating.
Special music was presented by Mrs. Frances Ballard. The following gentlemen served as
pallbearers: Vernon Patterson, T.J. Monteith, and Garner Butt.
Interment
was in Philadelphia Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs.
Ethelene Dyer Espey, age 69, of Atlanta, Georgia, formerly of Union
County,
Georgia, passed away Sunday, May 9, 1999 in Piedmont Hospital in
Atlanta. Mrs. Espey was born in Union
County on
Monday, February 17 1930, a daughter of the late Joe Dyer and Pearl
Victoria
Townsend Dyer. She was a homemaker and a
member of Choestoe Baptist Church. Mrs.
Espey had lived in the Atlanta area for the past 50 years and was the
widow of
the late Henry Clay Espey, Jr.
Survivors
include: her son, Clay Espey, III, of Atlanta; brothers: Vaughn Dyer,
Archie
Collins, and Jim Collins, all of Blairsville; Joe Cyplus Dyer of Flint,
Michigan; sisters: Irene Robinson and Maver Swanson both of Young
Harris, GA;
Juanita Sullivan of Flint, Michigan; several nieces and nephews also
survive.
Funeral
services were held Wednesday, May 12, 1999 at 25 p.m. from Choestoe
Baptist
Church with Rev. James Gear officiating. Special
music was presented by Mrs. Linda
Davenport. The following persons served
as pallbearers: Tony Dyer, Dayton Dyer, Bill Sullivan, Larry Swanson,
Jamie
Jones, and Vickie Burrows. Interment was
in Choestoe Cemetery.

Mr.
Paul McKinley Ingram, age 70, of Elizabeth Drive, passed away may 10, 19999 at his daughter’s home in Matthews,
VA.
He was a
native of Blairsville, GA, son of the late Norman and Daisy Owenby
Ingram. Army veterans of Korea of Korean
Conflict,
member of VFW Post 9337, Gastonia, served on House Committee, retired
sandblaster and metallizer. Paul was
born May 4, 1929. Paul Ingram was
preceded in death by two brothers, Claude, Jan. 12, 1993 and Cecil,
Oct. 3,
1998.
Survivors
include son, Robert Norman Ingram, Sacramento, Calif.; daughter,
Belinda Gail
Ingram, Mathews, VA; sisters, hazel Carswell, Dallas, Lorene Wollard,
West Palm
Beach, Fla., Opal Guffey, Burbank, Calif., Viloet Smith, Austell, GA.,
Helen
Beazley, Jonesboro GA., grandchildren, Allison Ross, Smithfield, VA.,
Joshua
and Raina Ingram, Sacramento; great grandson, Danny ray Ross,
Smithfield,
nieces and nephews.
Funeral
services were held at 11 a.m. Friday, Carothers Funeral Home, Gastonia,
Belinda
Ingram, speaker.
Interment
was in Gaston memorial park, Gastonia.
