Mrs.
Grace Beatrice Nevers, age 82, of
Blairsville, Georgia, passed away Monday, May 29, 1995 in Murphy
Medical Center
in Murphy, North Carolina.
Mrs. Nevers was born in Illinois on
October 12, 1912. She had lived in this
area for twenty one years, coming here from Lake Park, Florida. She was a member of the First Nazarene Church
of Blairsville.
Surviving are her husband, Mr. Lu
Nevers of the home; son, David Nevers of Blairsville; daughters,
Mary-Grace
Lefils of Covington, GA and Lucinda Lee Nevers of Lantana, FL; two
sisters,
Dorothea Deharo of Silver Lake, NH, and Francies (sic) Reading of
Claremore,
OK; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.
Memorial services will be held at a
later date.
In lieu
of flowers,
the family requests memorial contributions be made to The Billy Graham
Evangelistic Association, P.O. Box 79, Minneapolis, MN 55440-0779.

Mr. Dixie
Roberts, age 72, of Blairsville,
Georgia, passed away Sunday, May 28, 1995 in Union General Hospital in
Blairsville.
Mr. Roberts was born September 26,
1922 in North Carolina, a son of the late Benjamin Franklin and Mollie
Roberts. He had lived most of his life
in this area and was of the Baptist Faith.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Sue
Justice Roberts of the home; son and daughter-in-law Wayne and Jody
Roberts of
Blairsville; daughter and son-in-law Charlotte and Charles Gillispie of
Blairsville; son and daughter-in-law Jerry and Vivian Roberts of
Blairsville;
son and daughter-in-law Dennis and Lee Roberts of Douglasville, GA;
daughter
and son-in-law March and John Payne of Andrews, NC; four grandchildren,
Carrie
and Devin Roberts and Michelle and Tiffany Payne, all of Blairsville;
eight
step grandchildren, four step great grandchildren; one great
grandchild, Kylie
Evans of Blairsville; two brothers, Ivan Roberts of Mt. Clemens, MI and
Roger
Roberts of New Baltimore, MI; three sisters, Ruby Gould of Dalton, GA,
Patricia
Etheridge of Chatsworth, GA and Barbara Odell, also of Chatsworth.
Funeral services were held Tuesday,
May 30, 1995 at 2 p.m. from the chapel of the funeral home with Rev.
Guy Bradley
officiating. Special music was presented
by Ned Wilcoxin, Lewis Smith, and Willaree Davenport.
The following gentlemen served as
pallbearers: Kenneth Jenkins, Junior Young, Keeter Foster, Roger Cobb,
Junior
Brackett, and Everett Sexton. The
following gentlemen served as Honorary Escort to the family; Max
Brackett, Troy
King, Wayne Henderson, and Curtis Young.
Interment was in Providence Methodist Church Cemetery.

Mr. W.
Edgar Berry, age 89, of Blairsville,
Georgia, passed away Monday, May 29, 1995 following a short illness.
Mr. Berry was born in Towns county
but spent most of his life in Union County.
He was a retired carpenter.
Surviving are six daughters: Mrs.
Hazel Frascone of Massillon, Ohio; Mrs. Ruth Yancey of Lawrenceville,
Georgia;
Mrs. Lorene Waits of Monticello, Georgia; Mrs. Mildred Thomas of
Cleveland,
Georgia; Mrs. Faye McClure of Blairsville, Georgia; Mrs. Dorothy Rogers
of
Cleveland, Georgia; two sons, Mr. Edward Berry of Grayson, Georgia; Mr.
Harold
Berry of Blairsville, Georgia; 27 grandchildren, 29 great
grandchildren, 3
great great grandchildren and a large number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Wednesday,
May 31, 1995 at 2:00 p.m. from the Zebulon Baptist church with the Rev.
Hughes
Chatham and the Rev. Jimmy Smith officiating.
Interment was in the Zebulon Cemetery.
Music was provided by the Faith Singers.
Pallbearers were Ken Franscone (sic), Kal Frascone, Don
Frascone, James
Nix, Michael Nix and Q. O. Miller
