Mrs.
Myrtle Martin, age 89, of the Union
County Nursing Home passed away Monday, June 5 at the Union General
Hospital. Mrs. Martin was a member of
the Faith Baptist Church, and a native and lifelong resident of Union
County.
Survivors include two brothers, Jack
Tanner of Snellville, GA and Hoyt Tanner of Blairsville; one sister,
Reba
Newsom of Trussville, AL, several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services were held Wednesday,
June 7, 1995 at 2 p.m. from the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home with
Rev. Horace
Potts and Rev. James Block officiating.
Music was by Hubert and Betty Legg.
The following gentlemen served as pallbearers: Denny Tanner,
Kevin
Henson, David Tanner, Kevin Tanner, Wayne Tanner and Russell Legg. Interment followed in the Pleasant Grove

Mrs.
Patsy Rogers Cobb, age 39, of
Blairsville passed away at her home, Monday, June 5.
Mrs. Cobb was a member of the Blairsville
Church of God.
Survivors include her husband, Roy
Cobb of the home; mother, Jackie Monroe of St. Petersburg, FL; son,
Kevin Lee
Payne of Blairsville; sister, Donna Baggett of St. Petersburg, FL;
half-brother, Tommy Rogers of Blairsville; step-mother, Caroline Rogers
of
Blairsville; niece, Julie Wallace of St. Petersburg, FL.
Funeral services were held Wednesday,
June 7, 1995 at 11 a.m. from the Blairsville Church of God with Rev.
James
Lemley officiating. The following
gentlemen served as pallbearers: Stacey Stephens, Carroll Weaver, Al
Solomon,
Billy Howell, David Willimon, and Steve Turner.
Interment followed in the Confidence Methodist Cemetery.

Rev.
Lonnie C. Miller, age 29, of
Blairsville passed away Tuesday morning, June 6 at the Union General
Hospital. He was a member of the
Independence e Order
of ODD Fellows Young Harris Lodge #218.
Mr. Miller was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Tammy
Miller and daughter, Jessica Miller both of the home; parents. L.C. and
Doris
Miller of Blairsville; sisters, Sheila Miller and Gina Thompson both of
Blairsville; maternal grandparents, Homer and Lydia Hood of
Blairsville.
Funeral services were held
Wednesday, June 7, 1995 at 4 p.m. from the Chapel of Cochran Funeral
Home with
Rev. Ronnie Abernathy, Rev. Leon Henderson and Rev. Benny Nix
officiating. The following gentlemen
served as
pallbearers: Ben Burrell, Greg Fortenberry, Jeff Burks, Junior Lovell,
Bryan
Burrell, Buster Abercrombie, John Duke and Jamie Sparks.
Serving as honorary pallbearers were: Mark
Rogers, Stan Thompson and David Atkins.
Interment followed in the Union Memory Gardens.

mr. william james (bill) rolader
William
James (Bill) Rolader, age 82, of
Blairsville, died Friday, June 9, 1995.
Mr. Rolader was a native of Fulton
County. He retired as a salesman from
DuPont with over thirty years of service.
Mr. Rolader was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the Sardis
Methodist
Church, Atlanta.
Surviving is his wife, Ruth M.
Rolader of the home; son and daughter-in-law, William Frederick (Bill)
and
LaVerne Rolader, of Sky Valley; a son-in-law, Fred C. Vickers of
Atlanta; eight
grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one niece also survive.
Funeral services were held Sunday,
June 11, 1995 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of the Tim Stewart Funeral Home
in
Lawrenceville, Georgia. Interment was in
the Crest Lawn Memorial Park in Atlanta.

Mr. Lewis
Daniel Holloway, age 68, of
Dahlonega, GA died Sunday, June 11 at the Chestatee Regional Hospital
in
Dahlonega following a sudden illness.
Mr. Holloway was a native of Union
County who had lived in Lumpkin County for many years. He retired from
the U.S.
Forestry Service as a heavy equipment operator with over 30 years of
service. He was a U.S. Marine Corp
veteran, member of the V.F.W. and member of Dahlonega Church of God. He was preceded in death by a son, Lewis
Daniel Holloway, Jr.
Survivors include sons Stanley
Holloway of Dawsonville, Terry Holloway and Tony Holloway of Dahlonega;
daughters Patricia Garrett and Beverly Davis both of Dahlonega; sisters
Mrs.
Norma Shook of Cumming and Mrs. Cleo Hopgood of Rome.
Eight grandchildren and a large number of
other relatives also survive. Funeral
services were scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 13 at the Banister
Funeral
Home Chapel in Dahlonega with Rev. Jeff Welch officiating.
Interment followed in the Zion Baptist Church
Cemetery in Suches, GA.

Miss
Kimberly Diane Clayton, age 22, of
Young Harris, GA passed away June 8, 1995.
Miss Clayton was born in Union county but had spent most of her
life in
Towns County.
Surviving are her father, Mr. Jackie
Clayton of Fayetteville, NC; her mother, Mrs. Patricia Townsend Clayton
of
Young Harris; one brother, Mr. Gary Clayton of Young Harris;
grandmother, Mrs.
Julie Lee Clayton of Franklin, NC; grandmother Mrs. Inez Townsend of
Young
Harris; cousins and many friends.
Funeral services were held Sunday,
June 11 from the Old Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Lester Sutton
and the
Rev. Jimmy smith officiating. Interment
was in the Old Brasstown Baptist Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jamie McClure, Marty Roberts, Brian Weaver,
David
Clayton, Larry Hooper and Bill Clayton.
Music was provided by Rev. Jimmy Smith.
