jack edward lehman

            A memorial service for Jack Edward Lehman, age 61, of Blairsville, Georgia, formerly of Labelle, Florida, will be held on June 27, 1995 at 7 p.m. at the Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church in Blue Ridge.
            Survivors include his wife, Andrea Darlene Lehman of Blairsville; daughters, Suzanne Theresa Luckey and Crystal Dawn Robbins, both of Labelle, Florida and Linda Jo Spradlin of Fort Myers, Florida, and three grandchildren.
            In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Cancer Society in Mr. Lehman’s name.

mrs. helen milligan o’hea

            Mrs. Helen Milligan O’Hea, age 73, of Blairsville, Georgia, passed away Thursday, June 1, 1995 in Union General Hospital in Blairsville following an extended illness.
           
Mrs. O’Hea was born in Walker County, Georgia on May 30, 1921, a daughter of Otis and Lillian Smith.  She had lived in this area since 1984, coming here from West Palm Beach, Florida.  Mrs. O’Hea was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Blairsville.
            Survivors include her husband, Mr. Francis Donald O’Hea of the home; stepson, Kevin Donald O’Hea; two sisters, Jean Walsh and Judi Fullen; many friends also survive.
            Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville in charge of the arrangements.

mr. james c. “jay” Lance

            Mr. James C. “Jay” Lance, age 77, of Blairsville, Georgia, passed away Monday, June 12, 1995 in Union General Hospital in Blairsville.
            Mr. Lance was a native and lifelong resident of Union County.  He was a member, deacon and trustee at First Baptist Church of Blairsville; past master and member of Allegheny Masonic Lodge No. 114 F & AM; retired director of First National Bank of Cleveland, GA; and for twenty four years he served as clerk of court for Union County.
            Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Lillian Tarpley Lance of Blairsville; two daughters, Carole Shupe of Snellville and Jackie Hill of Blairsville; sister, Bobbie Everett of Blairsville; brother, Don Ray Lance of Atlanta; granddaughters: Gina Hill Collins, Lisa Shupe Cockerham, Lesley Shupe Jordan, all of Blairsville and Stacy Hill Ippolito of Gainesville; grandson, Elliott Hill of Blairsville; great grandchildren: Matthew Collins, Cory Collins, Emily Jordan, and Sara Beth Cockerham all of Blairsville.
            Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 14, at 3 p.m. from First Baptist Church of Blairsville with Rev. Danny Parris and Rev. Bethel Buchanan officiating.  Special music was presented by Terry and Paula Hooper and Francis Ballard.  The following gentlemen served as pallbearers: Danny Everett, Elliott Hill, Leon Collins, Jim Jordan, Jerry Ippolito, and Steve Cockerham.  Interment was in Union County memory Gardens Cemetery.  In Lieu (sic) of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to First Baptist Church of Blairsville Building Fund.

mrs. blane deaver collins

            Mrs. Blane Deaver Collins, age 88, of Savannah, Georgia, formerly of Blairsville, Georgia, passed away Thursday, June 15, 1995 in Pooler, Georgia.
            Mrs. Collins was born November 26, 1906, in Union County Georgia, a daughter of the late Solomon Alfred Deaver and Callie Chastain Deaver.  Mrs. Collins had lived the past fifteen years in Savannah.  She was a member of Ivy Log Baptist Church in Blairsville, and the widow of the late Ivan Collins.
            Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Benny and Martha Collins, of Savannah; granddaughter, Tara Collins; grandson, Bryan Collins, both of Savannah; a sister, Mrs. Marie Hill, of Blairsville; brothers, Kermit Deaver and Earl Deaver, both of Blairsville.
            Funeral services were held Saturday, June 17, 1995 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of the Funeral Home with Rev. Howard Collins officiating.  The following gentlemen served as pallbearers: Jack Gray, Bryan Collins, Todd Helcher, Ray Collins, Julian “Bo” Hill, and Gary Hill.  Interment was in Choestoe Baptist Church Cemetery.
