Mrs.
Grace B. Nevers, age 82, of
Blairsville, Georgia, passed away Monday, May 29, 1995 in the Murphy
Medical
Center in Murphy.
Mrs. Nevers was born in Illinois on
October 12, 1912. She had lived in this
area for twenty one years, coming here from Lake Park, Florida. She was a member of the First Nazarene Church
of Blairsville.
Surviving her husband, Mr. Lu Nevers
of the home; son, David Nevers of Blairsville; daughters, Mary-Grace
Lefils of
Covington, Georgia and Lucinda Lee
Nevers of Lantana, Florida; two sisters, Dorothea Deharo of Silver
Lake, New
Hampshire and Frances Reading of Claremore, Oklahoma; four
grandchildren and
two great grandchildren also survive.
Memorial services will be held Saturday,
July 8, 1995 at 3 p.m. from First Church of the Nazarene, located at
the corner
of Kimsey and Shoe Factory Road in Blairsville with Rev. Frank Visser
officiating.
In lieu
of flowers,
the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Billy Graham
Evangelistic Association, P.O. Box 779, Minneapolis, MN 55440-0779.

Miss
Effie Mason, 92, of Blairsville,
Georgia, passed away Monday, June 19, 1995 in Union County Nursing Home
in
Blairsville.
Miss Mason was born in Union County,
Georgia, on October 12, 1902, a daughter of the late James Austin Mason
and
Rebecca Harrison Mason. She
remained a lifelong resident of this area and
was a member of Confidence Methodist Church.
Surviving are a number of nieces and
nephews: James Everett Mason, of Atlanta;
Flossie Leah Stebbins, of Jonesboro, Georgia; Frankie Swanson, of Augusta, Georgia; Patricia Bowen,
of Tucker, Georgia; Austell Woody, of Blairsville; Robert Mason, of
Norcross,
Georgia; Ronald Mason, of Gainesville, Georgia; Nina Owenby, of
Covington,
Georgia; Charles Judd Mason, of Norcross; and Thomas Jeff Mason, of
Loganville,
Georgia; several great nieces and great nephews also survive.
Funeral services were held Saturday,
June 22, 1995 at 2:00 p.m. from Confidence Methodist Church with Rev.
Charles
Black officiating. Special music was
presented by Ken and Elaine Young. Miss
Mason’s nephews served as pallbearers.
Interment was in the church cemetery.

Mr. Bob
Moody, age 59, of Blairsville,
Georgia, passed away Monday, June 19, 1995 in Kennestone Hospital in
Marietta.
Mr. Moody was born in Green County,
Georgia, on April 30, 1936. He was a
Veteran of the U.S. Navy and served in the Korean War.
Mr. Moody had been living in this area since
March, and was a member of Union Point Methodist Church in Union Point,
Georgia.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Elain
Moody, of Blairsville; his mother, Mrs. Ludie McKinley, of Union Point;
five
daughters: Cheryl Goodrich and Sandra Ellis, both of Woodstock; Cynthia
LeRoux
of Canton, Georgia; Lisa Vadasy, of Roswell, and Teresa Moody, of
Atlanta; two
sons, Robert Moody, Jr., of Kennesaw, and Tony Moody, of Atlanta;
brother,
Charles Moody, of Woodstock; seven grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services were held Thursday,
June 22, 1995 at 3:00 p.m. from Liberty Hill Methodist Church with Rev.
Grady
Chastain officiating. Special music was
presented by Richard LeRoux ad Cristal
Stancil. The following gentlemen served
as pallbearers: McCoy Walker, David Tanner, Joe LeRoux, Kirk Vadasy,
Greg
Walker, and Tyson Walker. Interment was
in the church cemetery with Military Honors by the North Georgia Honor
Guard.

announces the death of Captain Ralph (Barefoot) McKeral, age 79, of 667
Bear
Paw Trail, Blairsville, GA. He passed
away June 23, 1995 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center after an
extended
illness.
Mr. McKeral was a native of Orange
County, GA. He had lived in Blairsville
for many years. He was a self employed
entrepreneur.
Survivors include his wife, Hellen
Swirski McKeral of Blairsville; sons, Skip McKeral of Blairsville,
Johnnie
McKeral of Maine; daughters, Patricia McKeral and Cathi McKeral of
Whitehall,
Montana; 6 grandchildren, and 4 great grandchildren.
A memorial will be held at a later
date.
