mr. perry willis (bill) Garner
Mr.
Perry Willis (Bill) Garner, age 74, of River Road, Blairsville, passed
away
Wednesday, June 30, 1999 in the Union General Hospital following an
extended
illness.
Mr.
Garner was born on August 2, 1924, the son of the late Samuel Newton
Garner and
Pita Ola Gilliam Garner. Before Mr. Garners retirement, he was employed as a mechanic
with Akers
Motor Lines of Atlanta for over twenty five years.
Surviving
are his wife, Medley Inez Garner of Blairsville, seven children, Bobby,
Brenda,
and Danny Garner of Greenwood, South Carolina; Kenneth Garner, and
Patsy Wood
both of Forest Park, GA, Ray Garner of Roswell, GA; and Edward Garner
of
Fayetteville; several grandchildren and great grandchildren also
survive.
Funeral
services for Mr. Garner were held Friday, July 2, 1999 at 11 a.m. in
the chapel
of the Mountain View Funeral Home in Blairsville, with the Tev. Ronnie Abernathy officiating.
Special music was presented by Mrs. Tammy
Floyd.
