Mary
Jayne Morgan, of Blairsville, GA, died
on June 27, 1995 in her home, Branan Lodge.
She was born on June 6, 1926 and died at the age of 72.
Mrs. Morgan was a dietician at
Lanier Park Hospital in Gainesville, GA, before she retired.
She is survived by Mr. Lynn Morgan,
her husband; and her three children – Pat Ellis of Ogden, TU; Michael
Morgan of
Bethlehem, PA; and Deborah Morgan of Honolulu, HI.
There will be no services –at her
request, she was cremated with her ashes to be scattered in Suches, GA.

Little Jennifer Harley Swaney,
infant daughter of Angela Stevens and David Swaney, passed away Sunday,
July 2,
1995 in Egelston Children’s Hospital in Atlanta.
Little Jennifer is also survived by
a sister, Heather and paternal grandparents, Ruth and Roy Swaney, all
of Alto.
Funeral Services were held Tuesday,
July 4, 1995 at 2 p.m., from the Chapel of the Funeral Home with Rev.
Timothy
O’Donald officiating. Interment was in
Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mrs. Lois
C. Partin, of Blairsville, GA,
passed away Sunday, July 2, 1995 at her home.
She was 79 years of age.
Mrs. Partin was born in Union
County, GA, on October 15, 1915, daughter of the late Ferman and Leila
Plott
Carpenter. She was a homemaker and a
lifelong resident of this area. Mrs.
Partin was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include a son, Mrs. (sic)
Charles Partin, of Blairsville; two grandchildren, Ami Partin and Eddie
Partin;
a sister, Latha Lance, of Blairsville; and two great grandchildren,
Leila
Partin and Samantha Partin, both of Blairsville.
Funeral Services were held Tuesday,
July 4, 1995 at 11 a.m., from the Chapel of the Funeral Home with Rev.
Danny
Parris officiating. The following
gentlemen served as Pallbearers: Don Murphy, Bobby Murphy, James Murphy
Joe
Fair, Sid Mahan, and Steve Lance.

Mr. Dixon
Frank of Largo, FL died on June 27
at Marton Plant Hospital, in Clearwater, FL, after a brief illness.
Formerly of Union County, Mr. Frank
had resided in Florida for many years.
He was an Army Veteran of World War II.
Survivors include: his wife, Margret
Coral; three daughters—Darlene Des Farges of Pinellas Park, FL; Dotty
Deaton of
Douglasville, GA; and Betty Glen of Las Vegas, NV; a brother, Paul, of
Blairsville, GA; a sister, Edith Barton of Gainesville, GA; and three
grandchildren.

John Hugh
Dyer, age 71, of Mableton, died
Sunday. He was born August 7, 1923 in
Union County, son of the late Frank a. Dyer and Cora Logan Dyer. He was preceded in death also by a sister,
Grovie Dyer Nix.
Mr. Dyer was a World War II veteran
and a member of Mt. Harmony Baptist Church of Mableton.
He was a retired master machinist with
Woodman Company of Decatur with 31 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley
Sosebee Dyer; two sons, Stanley Dyer of Monroe and Larry Dyer of
Mableton; one
daughter, Wanda Dyer of Marietta; one brother, Bill Dyer of
Blairsville; two
sisters, Jean Dyer Carter and Vera Dyer, both of Calhoun; three
grandchildren,
Hayley Dyer, Spencer Amos, and randy Amos.
Services were Tuesday at Mt. Harmony
Church with Rev. Bob Baxter officiating. Burial was at Sunrise Memorial
Gardens
in Lithia Springs. Pallbearers were:
Spencer and Randy Amos, Johnny, Jeff and Kenny Carter and Lamar Greene.

Mr. Wayne
Enoch Wood, ager 51, of Route 4,
Independence, Kansas, and formerly of Suches, Georgia, died Saturday,
July 8,
1995, at the Mercy Hospital in Independence, Kansas, following a period
of
declining health.
An Atlanta, Georgia native and
former resident of Suches, Georgia, Mr. Wood had lived in Independence,
Kansas
since 1988. Mr. Wood was an instructor
at Class Limited until his retirement in 1993, woodworking was his
hobby, and
was a Georgia mason.
Survivors include: his wife, Mrs.
Peggy Wood, Independence, Ks.; one son, Mr. James C. “Jim” Wood Suches,
GA; one
daughter, Miss Mary E. “Beth” Wood, Suches, GA; step-son, John G. Baer,
Lawrence, Ks.; step-daughter, Melissa Winebrenner, Independence, Ks.;
one
sister, Mrs. Janet Norton, Mableton, GA; three grandchildren, several
nieces
and nephews also survive.
Funeral services are scheduled for
10:30 a.m. Tuesday, July 11, 1995, from the Webb & Rodrick Funeral
Home
Chapel in Independence, Kansas. The Rev.
Dale Belcher will officiate.
Local funeral services are scheduled
for 2:00 p.m. Thursday, July 13, 1995 from the Mt. Lebanon Baptist
Church in
Suches, Georgia. The Rev. Malcolm
Chapman will officiate, with the interment to follow in the church
cemetery.
The
family will
receive friends at the McKinney Funeral Home in Dahlonega, Georgia on
Wednesday
evening from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
In lieu
of flowers, those
desiring to do so may make contributions to the American Heart
Association.
