Dwayne
England, age 47, of Blairsville, Georgia, passed away peacefully at his
home.
Dwayne
was born Tuesday, July 25, 19161 in Towns County, GA,
to Eloise Deaver England, of Blairsville and the late Vaughn England. He was of the Baptist Faith and was preceded
in death by an infant brother, Stevie Nolan England; nephews, Stephen
Douglas
England and Jon Wesley England.
Surviving
family members, in addition to his mother,
include; brothers, Douglas England of Blairsville; and Darrell England
of
Blairsville; sisters, Yvonne (Ted) Lunsford of Young Harris, GA, Kathy
Rich of
Blairsville; and Angie (Phil) Hartley of Blairsville.
Many other relatives and friends also
survive.
Services
were held Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at 2 PM from the Cochran Funeral Home
Chapel
with Rev. Jason Helton and Rev. Wade Plott officiating.
Music was provided by Evan Hughes and Merle
Fortenberry. Interment followed in the
Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. Serving
as pallbearers were the following gentlemen: Ryan England, Bill Kelley,
Justin
Jones, Caleb England, Keith Barnes and Roy Townsend.
Honorary pallbearers included: Kermit
Chambers, Randy Holbrooks, Tommy Argay, Michael Hughes, Bud Murphy,
Kevin
Prather, Gary Redmond and Tim Parker.
Friends
called anytime at the funeral home after 9 AM Tuesday; however the
family
especially met with friends Tuesday evening from 5-9 p.m. at the
Cochran
Funeral Home in Blairsville.

Mrs.
Judy Sue Smith, age 61 of Bennett Circle, Gillsville, GA, formerly of
Blairsville
passed away on Saturday, July 11, 2009 at her home following an
extended
illness. Mrs. Smith was born on Jan. 29,
1948 in Murphy, NC, the daughter of Helen Kimbrell Sneed and the late
Charles
Willy Sneed. Judy was a loving daughter,
wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. smith was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving Mrs.
Smith are her loving husband, Joel Smith of Gillsville, mother, Helen
White of
Starr, SC, one son and daughter-in-law, Darrell and Gina Smith of
Mayesville,
GA, one daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Tim Sullens of Flowery Branch,
GA, two
brothers and one sister-in-law, Robert and Cindy Sneed of IN, Charles
ray Sneed
of Gainesville, one sister and brother-in-law, Martha and James Norris
of
Hartwell, four grandchildren, Sharonda Mann, Darrell Chad Smith, chase
and Levi
Sullens, many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral
services were held on Monday, July 13, 2009 at 2 p.m. from the Mountain
View
Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Art Sneed and Rev. Gary O’Steen
officiating. Special music was presented
by Frankie Sneed
and the Phillips family. The following
gentlemen served as pallbearers, Tim Sullens, Keith Gould, T.J. smith,
Chad
Smith, Stephen Martin and Trevor Mann. Interment
followed in the Revival Baptist church Cemetery. The
family met with friends at the funeral
home on Sunday evening from 6-9 p.m.

Isaac
Flemon DuBose, 96, of Blairsville, formerly of Macon, died Saturday,
July 11,
2009 after a brief illness at Union General Hospital in Blairsville, GA. Funeral services will be held on Thursday,
July 16, 2009 at Hart’s Mortuary at The Cupalo on Peake Road in Macon. following an extended illness following a brief
illness.
The
family will receive guests at 1:30 p.m. with services at
3 p.m. followed by burial at Evergreen Cemetery. Dr.
Neal Wall, Rev. Larry Jones, & Rev.
Jesse Richardson will officiate. Mr.
DuBose was born in Wilkinson County to Samuel Dennis DuBose and Bertha
Richardson DuBose. His stepmother was
Annie
B. DuBose.
He was
preceded in death by his loving wife of 72 years,
Nellie Sapp DuBose, his infant daughter, Norma Jean DuBose, and his
son, Jerry
(Bo) DuBose (Nancy). Mr. DuBose was
preceded in death by his brothers Carroll, Howard, Heyward, &
Calvin &
his sisters Hazel & Mattiebell.
Surviving sisters
are Naomi Chance (Johnnie) & Joyce Stokes (EY).
He is survived by a loving son, Pete DuBose
(Dianne) and grandchildren Shelia Byrd (Steve), Tina Houseman (Randy),
Robin
Mizell (William), David DuBose, Wendy chandler (Paul), Marty DuBose,
Kevin
DuBose, and Bryan DuBose (Sherry). He is
also survived by Tom DuBose, a close nephew who was like a son, and by
14 great
grandchildren and 2 great, great grand daughters. Mr.
DuBose is also survived by many nieces,
nephews, & wonderful friends.
Mr. DuBose
retired from The Bibb company in Payne City
near Macon
where he raised his family. He was Payne
City Police Chief and managed the Cotton Yard for many years. He was a Master Mason. He
served as a deacon at Bellevue Baptist
Church and led many to Christ.
He was an avid master fisherman and
storyteller. He played baseball in his
younger years and was an avid Braves fan.
He enjoyed living at Magnolia Manor in Macon and later
Stonehenge
Assisted Living Home in Blairsville. He
had many loving caretakers and friends at both places.
He was
loved by everyone that he met throughout his life.

contributions be made to the Bellevue Baptist Church Building Fund,
