mrs. inez carney

Mrs. Inez Carney, age 77, of Lithia Springs, passed away on Sunday, July 18, 2004 i the Union General Hospital.

Mrs. Carney was born in Fannin County, GA., on Friday, July 15, 1927, a daughter of the late John and Lula Taylor Lee.  She had lived in Union County before moving to the Atlanta area 50 years ago and was a member of New Union Baptist Church.  Mrs. Carney was preceded in death by her husband Frank W. Carney; son, Danny Carney; two brothers and one sister.

Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Jerry Kinney of Lithia Springs, GA; son and daughter-in-law, David and Pam Carney of Hiram, GA; grandsons, Stephen Webb and D.J. Carney; granddaughter, Jennifer Carney and special friend, Pam Lee.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2004 at New Union Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Shope officiating.  Music was provided by Gloria Griggs.  Pallbearers were Claude Carney, Jr., Robbie Brown, Brandon Brown, Bill Abernathy, Junior Bridges, Tommy Rogers, David Murphy and Bill Nichols.  Burial was in the church cemetery.
