Mr. Hoyle
King age 66 went home to be with
the Lord on Friday, July 16, 2010 from his home following an extended
illness. Mr. King was born on Sept. 16,
1943 in Union County, the son of the late Vaughn King and the late
Margie
Elliott King. He was a native and
lifelong resident of Union County. Hoyle
was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather.
He was preceded in death by two brothers,
Harold and James King. Hoyle was a
member of Zebulon Baptist church.
Surviving Mr. King are his loving
wife Patsy Berrong King of Blairsville, three sons and
daughters-in-law, Trance
and Debbie King of Blairsville, Terry and Alicia King of young Harris,
Marty
and Tonya King of Blairsville, one brother, Vaughn King of Blairsville,
six
sisters and four brothers-in-law, Minnie and Welchel Garrett of
Blairsville,
Linda King of Ellijay, Christine and Roger Broome of Gainesville,
Pauline
Bridges, Caroline and Tim McGaha, Martha and Paul Moss all of
Blairsville, five
grandchildren, Ellee King, Jozie King, Lauren King, Kainan King and
Alexis
King, two step grandchildren, Jason Rich and Travis Rich, several
nieces,
nephews, many other relatives and friends also survive.
Funeral services were held on Saturday,
July 17, 2010 at 11 a.m. from the New Liberty Baptist Church with the
Rev.
Danny White officiating. Special music
was presented by Junior Graham and Angie Bridges. The
following gentlemen served as
pallbearers, Trance King, Marty King, Terry King, Johnny Garrett, Roger
Garrett
and Ronnie Garrett. Interment followed
in the church cemetery. The family met
with friends at the church on Saturday from 10-11 a.m.

Little
Collin Aubrey Lee Williams, age 1 of
Airport Tr., Blairsville went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, July 21,
2010 from
his home following an extended illness.
Collin was born on June 1, 2009 in Union County, the son of Adam
Lee
William and Candice Star Wheeler Williams.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Aubrey Lee Williams
and an
uncle, John Mile Williams both in 2010.
Collin will truly be missed.
“Mommy will love you forever”.
Collin loved being with his mom.
Surviving Collin are his parents,
Adam and Candice Williams of Blairsville, two brothers, Jacob Witt Lee
Williams
and Gavin Kaine Williams, both of Blairsville, grandparents, Angelia
and Tommy
Matheson of Hiawassee, Minnie and Jimmy Wheeler of Blairsville, Susan
Williams
of Viroqua, WI, great grandparents, Bev and Bo Crawford of Willows, CA,
Kathleen and Donald Anderson of Hiawassee, several aunts, uncles,
cousins, many
other relatives and friends also survive.
A memorial service was held on
Saturday, July 24, 2010 at 2 p.m. from the North Mt. Zion Church of God
with
the Rev. Raburn Wilson officiating. The
family met with friends on Saturday from 12-1 p.m. at the church.

Mr.
Douglas Eugene Wynn age 51 of Trinity
Place, Blairsville passed away on Tuesday, July 20, 2010 at his home
following
an extended illness. Mr.
Wynn was born on July 31, 1958 in Miami,
FL, the son of John Eston Wynn and Vera Christine Williams Wynn. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Douglas was a loving father, brother and
grandfather. He was preceded in death by
a brother, Milton Edmond Wynn. Mr. Wynn
was a member of Pine Top Baptist Church.
Surviving Mr. Wynn are two daughters
and one son-in-law, Jamie Rogers and fiancée, Jeremy White of
Blairsville,
Kelly and David Harris of Hiawassee, one son Jonathan Douglas Wynn of
Bronson,
FL, one sister and brother-in-law, Debbie and Michael Mobley of
Dahlonega, one
brother, Daniel Wynn of Bushnell, FL, five grandchildren, Kayla Harris,
Alexis
Rogers, Noah Harris, Deven Harris and Cole White, many other relatives
and
friends also survive.
A memorial service was held on Saturday,
July 24, 2010 at 2 p.m. from the Mountain View Chapel with the Rev.
Kenny White
and Rev. Ken Zollinger officiating. In
lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that memorials may be
made to
the American Cancer Society in memory of Mr. Wynn.

Mr.
Robert Alan Woods, age 75 of Wild Turkey
Rd., Blairsville passed away on Monday, July 19, 2010 at his home
following a
brief illness. Mr. Woods was born on May
16, 1935 in Fannin County, the son of the late Roy Woods and the late
Ruby
Allen Woods. He was preceded in death by
his first wife Marilyn Navarre Woods and a sister Jeanie Pharr. Robert was owner of PME Inc. (Protect
Maintain and Enhance). His 38th AA
anniversary would have been Saturday, July 24, 2010.
He was an All American Diver in his junior
and senior year at Trenton High School and also Senior body president
at
Trenton High School, Trenton, MI. He
received a diving scholarship to Michigan State University and later
transferred on a diving scholarship to the University of Florida. He was a SEC Champion Diver his junior and
senior years at the University of Florida.
He is still the only 3 time High School Diving Champion in the
State of
Michigan.
Surviving Mr. Woods is his loving
wife, Betty of Blairsville, two sons and one daughter Rob Woods and
wife Carol
of Ft. Myers, FL, Brent Woods of Milwaukee, WI, Shea Cotner of Capo
Beach, CA,
one step son and wife, Scott and Lisa Price, step daughter and husband,
Tracy
and Robert Von Holle all of Naples, FL; brothers and sisters Glenda
Bird,
Phyllis Woods, Richard Woods, Rebecca & Charles Ray Stipe, Beverly
&
Richard Melrose, Jimmy & Vicki Woods, sandy & Carl Kurtyka,
Sherry
& John Feagans, Kathy Laura, Kim & Nick Guzzi, Patty & Don
Gendron,
Peggy Woods, Roy & Kathy Woods and Randy & Noelle Woods, step
mother
Mildred Woods; grandchildren, Abby, Caleb, Robert, Tyler, Leland,

Rebecca; two step grandchildren and two step great grandchildren; also

24, 2010 at 11 a.m. from the Mountain View Chapel with the Rev. Stacy

Mrs. Mary
Vernoy age 93 of Beale Court
Drive, Blairsville passed away on Monday, July 19, 2010 in the Union
County
Nursing Home following an extended illness.
Mrs. Vernoy was born on May 29, 1917 in Toccoa, GA, the daughter
of the
late Fielding P. Berrong and the late Ulma Waldroop Berrong. She was a loving mother, sister and
grandmother. Mrs. Vernoy was a member of
Shady Grove Methodist Church.
Surviving Mrs. Vernoy are two
daughters and sons-in-law, Kay and Carey Waldrip of Blairsville, Vicki
and John
Carson of Pittsburg, PA, one sister, Nell Turner of Blairsville, four
grandchildren, Carey Waldrip Jr. and wife Chantal, Laura C. Campbell
and
husband Stan, Todd Carson and Owen Carson, many other relatives and
friends
also survive.
A memorial service was held on Monday
July 25, 2010 at 11 a.m. from the Shady Grove Methodist Church with the
Rev.
Winfred Pitts and Rev. Bob Bone
officiating. In lieu of flowers

Shady Grove
Methodist Church or to the Union General Hospital Auxiliary in memory
of Mrs.

Mrs.
Virginia Alice Hill Wallace, age 82, of
Blairsville, Georgia, passed away Wednesday afternoon in Emory
University
Hospital in Atlanta. Mrs. Wallace was
born in Goshen, Ohio to Dayton Leslie Hill and Hattie Brothers Hill. She was a homemaker and a member of Liberty
Baptist Church. Mrs. Wallace enjoyed
making quilts. She had been preceded in
death by her parents; and two brothers: Paul Ertel and Kenneth Ertel.
Surviving family members include her
husband, Ed Wallace; daughter and son-in-law Peggy and Paul Conley, of
Blairsville; daughter and son-ion-law, Linda and Bill Davisson, of
Moscow,
Ohio; son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy, Jr. and Risa Wallace, of Xenia,
Ohio; son
and daughter-in-law, Leslie and Freda Wallace, of Blairsville; seven
grandchildren and nineteen great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services were held on
Saturday, July 24, 2010, at 2 p.m., in the Chapel of Cochran Funeral
Home, with
Rev. Steve Youngblood and Rev. Brent Chatham officiating.
The following gentlemen served as
pallbearers: David Green, Donald Passmore, Bill Davisson, Jimmy
Wallace, and
Leslie Wallace. Burial was in Pleasant
Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation
at the funeral home was held on Friday, July 23, 2010, with the family
meeting
with friends from 7 until 9 p.m. Friday evening.
