Mr.
Donald
Alan (Don) Neil, age 51 of Patricks Drive, Blairsville passed away on
Wednesday, July 29, 2009 following a brief illness.
Mr. Neil was born on Feb. 28, 1958 in
Trenton, MI, the son of Don Charles Neil and the late Janet Mary
Levesque
Neil. Don was employed with Brasstown
Valley realty. He was a loving husband,
son, father and brother. He was preceded
in death by his mother, Janet Neil in March of this year.
Mr. Neil was of the Protestant faith.
Surviving Mr.
Neil are his loving wife, Sharon Mashburn Neil of Blairsville, father,
don
Charles Neil of Blairsville, one daughter, Nicole Neil of Blairsville,
one step
daughter and step son-in-law, Robin and Tim Simmons of Demorest, GA,
one
sister, Aprille Stocker of Blairsville, aunt, Carol Neil of
Blairsville, two
nieces, Stephanie Peterson and Lorna Rafferty, one nephew, Stephen
Stocker, one
step grandchild, Ethan Simmons, many other relatives and friends also
survive.
A memorial
service was held on Sunday, Aug. 2, 2009 at 5 p.m. from the Mountain
View
Funeral Home Chapel with Minister Terry Stuart officiating. Special music was presented by Gloria
Griggs. The family met with friends at
the funeral home on Sunday evening from 4-5 p.m.

Mr. Bruce
Wayne Maynard age 62 of Ivy Log Rd., Blairsville passed away on
Tuesday, July
28, 2009 in the St. Joseph’s Hospital following an extended illness. Mr. Maynard was born on July 22, 1947 in
Lebanon, NH, the son of the late Gordon William Maynard and the late
Valeda
Regis Ryan Maynard. Bruce was a DooWop
DJ for NH sock hops for over fifteen years.
He was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather. Mr. Maynard was of the non-denominational
faith.
Surviving Mr.
Maynard are his loving wife of forty-two years, Millie Ann (Perkins)
Maynard of
Blairsville, two sons and one daughter-in-law, Casey Daniel Maynard of
Enfield,
NH, Brady and Cheril Maynard of Enfield, one brother and sister-in-law,
Brian
and Mary Maynard of Tigard, OR, cousin, Althea Mayotte of West Warwick,
RI,
three grandchildren, Karisa, Jessica and Joshua, many other relatives
and
friends also survive.
A memorial
service was held on Thursday, July 30, 2009 at 5 p.m. from the Mountain
View
Funeral Home Chapel with family and friends officiating.
In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family
requests that memorials may be made to the Union County Dialysis Center
in memory
of Mr. Maynard. The family met with
friends at the funeral home Thursday from 4-5 p.m.
