stephen eli morris

 

            Mr. Stephen Eli Morris, age 24 of Rex Payne Road, Blairsville, passed away on Monday July 29, 2013 at his home. Eli was born on December 10, 1988 in Union County, the son of Steve and Loretta (Anderson) Morris. He was a native and lifelong resident of Union County. He was a veteran of the US Army. Eli was very proud of his Military service. He loved fishing and listening to gospel and country music and enjoyed mowing grass and using his chain saw. He was a loving son, brother, grandson and uncle. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Annie Mae and Charlie Anderson, Grover Morris  and  also a cousin, Josh Jones. Eli was a member of Victory Baptist Church.

    Surviving Eli are his parents, Steve and Loretta Morris of Blairsville, one sister and brother-in-law, Amber and Ray Cardenas of Grand Junction, CO, two brothers and one sister-in-law, Shane and Misty Morris of Blairsville, Zach Morris of Blairsville, two nieces, Alexis Cardenas of Grand Junction, CO, Abigail Morris of Blairsville, one nephew, Caleb Cardenas of Grand Junction, several aunts, uncles, cousins, many other relatives and friends also survive.

    Funeral services were held on Friday, August 2, 2013 at 2 p.m. from the Mountain View Chapel with the Rev. Randolph Jones and Rev. Daniel Young officiating. Special music was presented by Silas Brown. The following gentleman served as pallbearers, Joey Jones, Junior Lunsford, Lonnie Dockery, Vaughn Morris, Ethan Walker and Rodney Kelley. Serving as honorary pallbearers were Gary Jones and Junior Anderson. Interment followed in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. The family met with friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6-9 p.m.

albert "al" allendorf

 

            Mr. Albert "Al" Allendorf, retired Chief Master Sergeant US Air Force, went to be with the Lord on July 27, 2013. Al was born in Boston, MA, on May 21, 1931 to the late Albert R. and Frances D. Allendorf. Upon completion of high school he enlisted in the Air Force for a total of twenty-five years. He served in numerous US bases as well as Korea, Vietnam, Japan and Okinawa. During his twenty-five years of service he was awarded the Air Force Commendation Medal twice. Upon retirement from the Air Force he became an experienced Locksmith in East Point, GA for eighteen years and attained a Master Locksmith Rating from ALOA. He was a member of First Baptist Church and was a member of the Seekers Sunday School Class. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marie Best Allendorf.

            Surviving Mr. Allendorf are his step children, Vickie (Bryan) Nelson of Lizella, GA, Angela (Mark) Vickers of Goochland, VA, Chris (Kristen, Calen, Sage) of Loma, CO, sister-in-law, Nadine Powell of St. Simons Island, GA, many other relatives and friends also survive.

            A memorial service was held on Wednesday July 31, 2013 at 1 p.m. from the Mountain View Chapel with the Rev. Bob Crowe officiating. In lieu of flowers if you wish, Albertís requests that donations may be made to the Stovall Hope Foundation, PO Box 907 Dacula, GA 30019 in his memory. The family met with friends following the services at the funeral home.

dustin forrest goode

 

            Mr. Dustin Forrest Goode, age 35, of Cedar Mtn. Rd., Blairsville, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2013 in White County following a brief illness. Dustin was born on August 21, 1977 in Union County the son of Deborah Walker Goode and the late John Gary Goode. He was a native and lifelong resident of Union County. Dustin was a loving son and brother. He was a very hard worker and loved nature, music, friends and family. He also loved picking up stray animals and loved his motherís cooking. He was preceded in death by his father, John Gary Goode in 2011. Dustin was of the Baptist faith.

            Surviving Dustin are his mother, Deborah Goode of Blairsville, brother, Matthew Goode and his fiancťe, Kaitlin McConnell of Hazel Crest, IL, Grandmothers, Marjorie Goode and Winifred Walker, numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends also survive.

            Memorial services were held on Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. from the Mountain View Chapel with the Rev. Fred Whitley officiating. Special music was presented by Chris Adams. The family met with friends at the funeral home on Tuesday evening from 5-6 p.m. In lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that donations may be made to help defray expenses in Dustinís memory.
