Mr.
George Brannan Gloer, age 74, of P.N. Watkins Road, Blairsville, passed
away on
Tuesday, August 3, 1999 in the Union General Hospital following an
extended
illness. Mr. Gloer was born in Dallas,
Georgia, on August 7, 1934, the son of the late Hugh Lee Gloer and the
late
Frances Brannan Gloer. Mr. and Mrs.
Gloer had moved to Blairsville form Forest Park, Georgia after his
retirement
from the United State Postal Service.
Surviving
are his wife, Mrs. Jeanne Rini Gloer of Blairsville; daughter and son
in law,
Linda and Bobby Miller, of Jonesboro, GA.; daughter, Susan Mims of
Forest Park,
GA; daughter and son in law, Denise and Larry McClean of Fayetteville,
GA.; two
sons, George B. Gloer, Jr., of East Point, GA., and Randy Gloer of
Sharpsburg,
GA., six grandchildren and many other relatives and friends also
survive.
Funeral
services were held on Thursday, August 5, 1999 from the chapel of the
Pope-Dickson Funeral Home in Morrow GA.
Interment followed in the Sherwood Cemetery in Jonesboro, GA.

Mrs.
Bertie Lee Arnold, age 72, of School St. Blairsville, passed away on
Monday,
August 2, 1999 in the Union County Nursing Home, following an extended
illness.
She was born in Union County on October 14, 1926, the daughter of the
late Jim
Rich and the late Julia Colwell Rich.
Mrs. Arnold was a life long resident of Union County and was a
member of
the First United Methodist Church of Blairsville. She
was preceded in death by her husband,
Edward William Arnold in 1970.
Surviving
are a son and daughter in law, Mike and Susie Arnold of Blairsville;
one
daughter, Jackie Arnold of Blairsville; two sisters, Jan nelson and
Margie
Guffy both of Blairsville; one brother, David Rich of Blairsville; two
grandchildren and three great grandchildren also many other relatives
and
friends also survive.
Funeral
services for Mrs. Arnold were held on Tuesday, August 3, 1999 at 2 p.m.
in the
chapel of the Mountain View Funeral Home with the Rev. Hubert Legg and
the Rev.
Billy styles officiating. Special music
was presented by the Kelley Trio.
Serving as pallbearers were Clayton Nix, Dale Hamby, Wayne
Copeland,
Jimmy Conley, Charles Loudermilk, and Gary McClure.
Interment followed in the Blairsville City
Cemetery.

miss winifred Olive elizabeth chaisson
Miss
Winifred Olive Elizabeth Chaisson, age 74, of 1459 James Lance Rd.,
Blairsville, passed away Saturday, July 31, 1999 in the Murphy Medical
Center
following a sudden illness. She was born
on December 20, 1923 in Waltham, MA., the
daughter of
the late John Chaisson and the Late Edith Doucette Chaisson. She was employed for over twenty five years
with the Waltham Hospital in Waltham, MASS.
Miss Chaisson was of the Catholic Faith.
Survivors
include a sister and brother in law, Maria and Dr. Julian Karasoff of
Blairsville, one nephew, H.L. Karasoff and his wife Susan Karasoff of
Key
Largo, FL., many other friends and relatives also survive.
