Mr. David
K. Ellington, age 56, of
Blairsville, GA passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 14th at
Tanglewood
Assisted Living Facility, Dawsonville, GA.
Mr.
Ellington was
surrounded by family and friends with love, hymns, and prayer in his
final
hours.
Mr.
Ellington was
born and raised in Clewiston, FL. He was
an alumni (sic) of Florida Southern College, Lakeland, FL, a former
employee of
USSC & Motion Industries, Inc. in Clewiston, FL.
David was a member of BPOE and past President
of Kiwanis Club of Clewiston. He was
also a former employee of Union County Senior Center, Blairsville.
In
addition to his
parents, John and Irma Ellington, David was preceded in death by his
brother,
Glenn and his beloved Aunt Pearl.
David is
survived by
his wife, Debra, his son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Liz,
mother-in-law,
Ida, his three feline companions, sister, Jean, brothers and
sisters-in-law,
James and Jane Rider, Terry and Jane Rider, Dan and Diane Scheuerer,
all of
Florida.

Mr. G.
Everett Cox, age 62, of Smyrna and
Blairsville, died Friday, August 19, 2011.
Funeral services were held on
Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Carmichael Funeral Home in Marietta,
with
Rev. Jimmy Lewis and Rev. Jamie Auton officiating.
Burial followed in the Kennesaw Memorial Park
Cemetary (sic)in Marietta. A lifelong
Cobb County resident employed with Lockheed for over 30 years, Mr. Cox
was a
member of the Nelms Lodge #323 F. & A.M., and had served as
Secretary for
20 years.
Mr. Cox was a Scottish Rite & York Rite
Mason, a member of the York Rite College of Charleston, SC and was
Grand
Governor and Purple Cross.
Mr. Cox
was of the
Baptist faith and a member of Locust Grove Baptist Church.
Surviving
Mr. Cox
are his wife, Glenda Cox of Smyrna, brother and sister-in-law, Ed and
Mary Cox
of Smyrna, two sisters and a brother-in-law, Guynelle Smith of
Marietta, Lana
Jo and Virgil Dawson of Blairsville, several nieces and nephews and
great
nieces and great nephews.
The
family received
friends on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Carmichael Funeral Home
in
Marietta. For those who wish,

may be made to the Nelms Lodge #323 in honor of Mr. Cox.

Larry E.
DelliVeneri
Sr, 88, former resident of Homestead, went home to be with his Lord on
August
16, 2011 at his home in Blairsville Georgia. He
was born on August 3, 1923 to the late
Alfred and Ruth DelliVeneri he was raised in Miami graduating from
Miami Edison
Sr. High School and went on to study accounting at the University of
Miami. He was the owner of Florida City
Crate Co.
with his son Larry Jr. His motto was "We Produce So You Can
Produce". Larry served in the
United States Navy during WWII, while in the Navy he met and married
his late
wife Alice and raised three children Ruth DelliVeneri (deceased) Mary
DelliVeneri Poillion (Charles) and Larry DelliVeneri Jr. (deceased)
Angela; one
sister Theresa Fares; stepsons David, Jerry, Ted Maxson. His is survived (sic) his wife Barbara
DelliVeneri and seven grandchildren Dawn (Daryll), Pat, Jeffrey
(Stephanie),
Joanna, Rocky, Danielle and Lawrence III and three great grandchildren,
Keith,
Kevin and Chloe.
Memorial
services were
held at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Blairsville GA. on
Monday
August 22, 2011 at 10 a.m. with Father Liem Nguyen officiating. Special music was presented by Ron Gaucher. Military honors were provided by the North
Georgia Honor Guard. The family met with
friends following the services. In lieu of flowers the family requests
a
donation be made to support our Troops.

David
Acheson
Bleakley, age 81 of Blairsville, passed away August 15, 2011. Mr. Bleakley was born on October 7, 1929 in
Franklin, PA, to the late Rollin & Sarah Acheson Bleakley. David was a United States Army Veteran of the
Korean War and a proud graduate from the University of Florida. David enjoyed creating and building a new
business and did so numerous times to include a childcare center in St.
Petersburg, FL, an old fashioned ice cream shop in Highlands, NC, a
hotel in
Madeira Beach, FL and a grocery store in Englewood, FL. He
moved to Blairsville in 1992 to retire in
the mountains. He was preceded in death
by his parents and five brothers.
He will
be missed
and fondly remembered by his family: loving wife of 56 years, Lou Ann
Bleakley
of Blairsville; daughters, Pamela Barry of Largo, FL, Patricia Hamm of
Seminole, FL; and Karen Witt of Cape Coral, FL; 5 grandchildren and 2
great grandchildren.
Memorial
Services were
held on Saturday, August 20, 2011, at 2 p.m., at Mountain Presbyterian
Church
with Rev. Travis Adams officiating. Music
was provided by Jeff Bauman accompanied by Mary Campbell.

Clyde
McCollum, age 52 of Clermont, GA
passed away August 16, 2011 at North East Georgia Medical Center. Mr. McCollum was born September 30, 1958 in
Blairsville to the late Robert and Lola Mae Teague McCollum. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and managing
flocks of chickens. Clyde was preceded
in death by his parents and brothers, Junior and Jack McCollum.
He will
be missed by all who knew him,
but especially by his family: loving wife of 31 years, Wanda Shubert of
Clermont, GA; daughter & son-in-law, Becky and Larry Thomas of
Young
Harris, GA; brothers, Robert McCollum, Larry McCollum, and Wayne
McCollum all of
Blairsville; sisters, Vel Hicks of Mableton, GA, Grapelle Partridge of
Cornelia, GA, Doris McCollum of Blairsville, Lynda Timms of
Gainesville, GA,
