gary lyle hone

Gary Lyle Hone, age 77, of Blairsville, GA went home to be with the Lord on August 28, 2013. Gary was born in Vandergrift, PA on December 3, 1935 to the late Orten and Zula Hone.

Gary went to Fort Lauderdale, FL for work in 1954. He met the love of his life, Dolores Tennyson, in October. He won weight lifting and body building competitions during that time.

He went back to Pennsylvania and attended the University of Pittsburgh for 2-Ĺ years. He ran out of money and went back to Ft. Lauderdale where he rekindled the relationship. He and Dolores were married in New York on July 20, 1959.

They went back to Florida with nothing but dreams and love. Gary became a Fire Fighter in March of 1960. They were blessed with their first child, Bernie, in December of 1960, and more blessings with the arrival of Steve in 1968 and Shannon in 1970.
