Mr. robert walter chapin

Mr. Robert Walter (better known as Bob) Chapin, age 69, of Dee Bob Road, Blairsville, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2002 in the Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta following an extended illness.  Mr. Chapin was born on June 9, 1933 in Fostoria, MI, the son of the late Walter Chapin and the late Georgina Anderson Chapin.  Mr. Chapin was preceded in death by a daughter, Ruth Ann Cammillerri in 1988.  He was a member of the House of Prayer Church.

Surviving Mr. Chapin are his loving wife of twenty eight years, Dee Dalgity Chapin of Blairsville; four sons and three daughter-in-law, Randy and Wendy Chapin of hermitage, PA, Rob Chapin of Clearwater, FL, Charles and Connie Dvoracsek of St. Petersburg, FL, Joe and Julie Dvoracsek of St. Petersburg; one daughter an son-in-law, Tony Lynn and Bill Hendrix of Mesa, AZ; one sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Bob McKenzie of Fostoria, MI; twelve grandchildren, five great grandchildren, many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, September 11, 2002 at 1 pm from the House of Prayer Church with the Rev. Jerry Helton officiating.  Special music was presented by the Church Choir.  The following gentlemen served as pallbearers: Jim Smith, Danie Davis, Lee Baenninger, Gene Loughrey, Jack Baker and Steve Fiske.

mrs. emelia emma wiemert

Mrs. Emelia Emma Wiemert, age 85, of Shannons Way, Blairsville, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2002 in the Union General Hospital following an extended illness.  Mrs. Wiemert was born on August 14, 1917 in New York City, NY, the daughter of the late William Giel and the late Emma Kienzie Giel.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Wiemert in 1982.  Mrs. Wiemert was of the Lutheran Faith.

Surviving Mrs. Wiemert are one daughter, Barbara Rock of Blairsville; one brother, Roy Wiemert; one sister and brother-in-law, Evelyn and John Reggie of E. North Point, NY; three grandchildren, Billy Rock of Morganton, Robert Rock of Woodstock and Brian Rock of Blairsville; many other relatives and friends also survive.

Memorial services were held on Tuesday, September 3, 2002 at 10 am from the Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Claudia Reggie officiating.  In lieu of flowers, if you wish, the family requests that memorials may be made to Georgia Mt. Hospice, 1452 East Church Street, Jasper, GA 30143 in Mrs. Wiemert’s memory.
