Mr.
Ernest Hoke Harbin, 82, of Blairsville, Georgia passed away Thursday,
August
29, 1996.
Surviving
are his wife, Inez R. Harbin, of Blairsville; children: John R. Harbin
of
Macon; Larry W. Harbin of Dahlonega; and Mrs. Merrill H. Smith of
Blairsville;
sister, Ruth Jenkins of Thomaston, GA; ten grandchildren, seventeen
great
grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren also survive.
Funeral
services were held Sunday, September 1, 1996 at 2 p.m. from the Chapel
of Crest
Lawn Funeral Home of Macon with Rev. William J. Tyre officiating, with interment in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery.

mrs. lottie louise (lou) seabolt
Mrs.
Lottie Louise (Lou) Seabolt
of Blairsville passed away Saturday, August 31, 1996 in Union General
Hospital.
Mrs. Seabolt was a native of
Richmond, Virginia, and had lived in this area for the past fourteen
years,
coming here from New Port Richie, Florida.
Mrs. Seabolt had served in the Womens Army Corps / Transportation Corps/ at the
Pentagon
in Washington D. c. during World War II.
She was a member of American Legion Post #1, Paris, France and a
life
member and Past Commander of Post 121, Blairsville, Georgia. Mrs. Seabolt was
of
the Protestant Faith.
Survivors
include her sister, Peggy Jones Luckado
and a devoted
niece, Shirley Martin. Many other
nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Funeral
services were held Wednesday, September 4, 1996 at 2 p.m. from the
Chapel of
the Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville with North Georgia Honor Guard
Chaplain, Robert Quinnelly officiating. Special music was presented by Louise Delong,
Susie Phillips and Sarah Kelley. Members
of the North Georgia Honor Guard served as pallbearers and presented
Military
Honors, with interment in Union Memory Gardens Cemetery in Blairsville.
Cochran
Funeral Home of Blairsville was in charge of arrangements.

Miss
Fannie Vandiver, 86, of Blairsville, Georgia passed away Wednesday,
September
4, 1996 in Union General Hospital in Blairsville.
Miss
Vandiver was born on April 6, 1910, in White County, Georgia,
a daughter of the late Joseph Vandiver and Anna Abernathy Vandiver. She had lived most of her life in this area
and was a member of Old Liberty Baptist Church.
Surviving
are a brother, Clarence Vandiver; and two sisters, Dollie and Minnie
Vandiver,
all of Blairsville; Several (sic) nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral
services were held Friday, September 6, 1996 at 2 p.m. from the Chapel
of
Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville with Rev. Jerry Young officiating. Special music was presented by the Old
Liberty Church Choir. The following
gentlemen served as pallbearers: A.J. Wimpey, Ronnie Wimpey, Danny
Bridges,
John England, Dwayne Dyer, and Troy Whitt.
Dr. George Gowder served as honorary escort to the family, with
interment in Old Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.
Cochran
Funeral Home of Blairsville was in charge of arrangements.
