Virginia
Booker Poe, born in Meriwether
County, GA, met her husband, Jim Poe (deceased) and raised her family
in
Homestead, FL, now a resident of Blairsville, GA, residing at the Union
County
Nursing Home, passed away on September 112, 2011 at the age of 85.
Survivors include a son, Sonny and
his wife Jan Poe of Blairsville, daughters Debbie Dillon of Nashville,
TN and
Ann Poe of Blairsville; two beloved grandsons, Alan Poe and his wife
Linda of
Kendall, FL and Chris Dillon and his wife Nikki of Panama city, FL. She was also blessed with five
great-grandchildren, James, Olivia and Helena Poe and Calie and Cadence
Dillon;
Sister Vrana and family, also sister-in-law Maxine Booker and family.
Viewing was at Mountain View funeral
Home on Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at 11 a.m. with funeral following
at
12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family
requests donations be made to support the troops.

Roger P.
MacGilvray, Sr. 82, passed away on
September 10,2 011 in Delray Beach, FL.
He was formerly from Long Island NY, North Conway NH,
Poughkeepsie NY,
Boca Raton FL, and Blairsville, GA.
He was
born in
Staatsburg, New York on 12/01/1928. He
proudly served in the US Navy from 1946-1949.
He was employed by IBM for 26 years before he retired to the
North
Georgia mountains. He loved nature, was
an avid golfer and loved to fish.
He was predeceased by MaryLou (sic)
Parker MacGilvray, his wife of 60 years.
He will be deeply missed by
daughters Colleen MacGilvray, Alice Kemp (Billy), Eileen Jones
(Donnie), and
son Roger MacGilvray Jr. (Jessie), 6 grandchildren and 5
great-grandchildren.
Following cremation, there was a
Military Burial Service and interment at the VA Cemetery in Lake Worth,
FL, on
Friday, September 16 at 11AAM. In lieu
of flowers the family requests a donation to the National Alzheimer’s
Association.

Mrs. Joy
Deloris Kissel, age 82, of Stable
Gate Dr., Blairsville, passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at her
home following
an extended illness. Mrs. Kissel was born
January 29, 1929 in Rochester, NY, a daughter of the late Harry and
Adeline
Rines. She moved to this area 8 years
ago from Naples, FL. Mrs. Kissel was a
loving wife and mother. She was preceded
in death by a son, Rick Kates. Mrs.
Kissel was a member of Mt. Presbyterian Church.
Surviving Mrs. Kissel are her
husband Walter Kissel of Blairsville, daughters, Valerie Nowak of
Rochester,
NY, Shelly Kates of Naples, FL, daughter-in-law, Ruth Kates of
Blairsville,
brother and sister-in-law, Russell and Marilyn Rines of Fair Port, NY,
ten
grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and one great-great
grandchild.
Memorial services will be held
Thursday, September 22, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Mt. Presbyterian Church with
Rev.
Travis Adams officiating. Music will be
by Mary Carole Campbell. In lieu of

Mr.
Robert I. MacAuley, age 90, of Forest
Circle, Blairsville, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at
Piedmont
Hospital in Atlanta following an extended illness.
Robert was born in Troy, NY, a son of the
late Robert and Minnie Rea MacAuley. He
had lived in this area for 30 years.
Robert and his late wife Dorothe enjoyed doll house construction
and
decorating. He is preceded in death by
sister, Marion MacAuley and brother, Donald B. MacAuley.
Robert was of the Methodist Faith.
Surviving Robert are children, Wendy
MacAuley of Montclair, NJ, Susan and William Fuchs of Arlington, VA,
Arthur and
Gail Brehm of Kingston, GA, Charles and Dorothy Brehm of Hackettown,
NJ,
Marshall and Barbara Brehm of N. Las Vegas, NV, Kristine and Carmen
Caputo of
Port St. Lucie, FL, friends Quinton and Wanda Holbrooks of Blairsville,
GA,
several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mrs.
Gladys Lois Ingram Stucker, age 83, of
Wesley Mountain DR, Blairsville, GA, passed away Tuesday, September 13,
2011,
after an extended illness. Mrs. Stucker
was born in Young Harris, GA on July 4, 1928 a daughter of the late
Charlie F.
and Liza Thomas Ingram. She enjoyed
sewing and visiting with family. Mrs.
Stucker was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Stucker, brothers,
Rufus
Ingram, Robert (Ulyses) Ingram, sisters, Ora Bell Ingram, Dorothy
Cantrell and
Violet Hall. She was a member of
Fairview Baptist church.
Surviving Mrs. Stucker are a sister,
Jessie Ingram Cantrell of Blairsville, GA and brothers, Carlos Ingram
of
Blairsville, GA, several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services for Mrs. Stucker were held
at 2 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 14, 2011 at the Chapel of Mountain View
Funeral Home
with Rev. James Ingram officiating. Music
was provided by Jimmy and Johnny Hogsed.
Pallbearers were Ray Ingram, Harold Ingram, Carroll Weaver,
Larry
Weaver, Jamey Patterson and Robby Patterson.
Interment followed in Pleasant Grove Baptist Cemetery.
The family received friends at the
funeral home Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m.

Mr. Craig
Danner Graybill, age 72, of Smyrna
Rd, Blairsville, passed away Thursday, September 14, 2011 at Union
General
Hospital after a brief illness. Craig
was born November 23, 1938, in Manheim, PA, a son of the late Noah B.
and
Evelyn Graybill. He had lived here for
the past 7 years coming here from Sebring, FL.
Craig was a U.S. Army veteran and served during the Cuban Missle
(sic)
Crisis, he was in Law Enforcement for over 37 years, having served with
the
Sebring Police Department for 20 years and was Chief of Police. Craig was Director of Public Safety with the
Sebring Airport from 1984 until 1990, and from 1990 until 2004 with
Highlands
County sheriffs Department. He was of
the Protestant Faith.
Surviving Craig are his wife, Linda
Graybill of Blairsville, GA, son, Craig D. Graybill, JR, of
Blairsville, GA,
brother, H. D. and Joan Graybill of Kettering, OH, several nieces,
nephews and
cousins.
