Jeanne
Schroeder Keyworth, age 81, of
Blairsville, GA, formerly of Mendham, NJ, passed away on Saturday,
Sept. 18,
2010 following an extended illness. Mrs.
Keyworth was born on July 2, 1929 in Elizabeth, NJ, the daughter of the
late
Martin Schroeder and the late Violet Vonah Schroeder.
Jeanne was a 1946 graduate of Columbia High
School in South Orange, NJ. She also
attended Upsala College. She retired
after many years as Municipal Court clerk in Springfield, NJ. She enjoyed golf, piano, board games, reading
and painting. She was a loving mother,
sister and friend to many.
Mrs. Keyworth was preceded in death
by her son, Allen Robert Keyworth Jr. in 1976.
Surviving
Jeanne are
her son, Craig, daughter-in-law, Patricia Decker-Keyworth of Atlanta,
GA, and
sister, Joan Schroeder of Morristown, NJ.
Many other relatives and friends also survive.
A memorial service was held on
Sunday, September 19, 2010 at Branan Lodge.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that a donation be made
in
memory of Mrs. Keyworth to Branan Lodge (brananlodge.org), the
retirement
community where she lived, in Blairsville, GA.

Troy
Henderson, age 64, of Warne, NC, passed
away Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at Murphy Medical Center.
Troy was born in Union County, GA to the late
Willie and Selma (Early) Henderson. He
had worked as a heavy equipment operator in the construction business.
Troy was
of the Baptist Faith and attended Faith Tabernacle Church.

September 24, 2010 at 2 p.m. from Many forks Baptist Church with Rev.
Bill Dyer
officiating. Music was by Faith
tabernacle Church Ladies Choir.
Pallbearers were Devin Henderson, Nathan Henderson, Ralph
Lovell, Kenny
Henderson, tony Henderson and Eric Mulkey.
Honorary pallbearers were Tommy Teems, Archie Coker, nephews and
brothers-in-law. Interment was in the
church cemetery.

Mrs.
Birdelle Tritt Lunsford, age 93, of
Suches, Georgia, passed away Monday evening, September 20, 2010 in
Union County
Nursing Home in Blairsville, Georgia.
Mrs. Lunsford was born in Union
County, Georgia, on Wednesday, August 29, 1917, a daughter of the late
William
Barton Tritt and Pearl Davis Tritt. She
was a homemaker and lifelong resident of the area, and a member of Mt.
Lebanon
Baptist Church in Suches. Mrs. Lunsford
had been preceded in death by her husband, Willie G. Lunsford, in 1992;
siblings: Melvin Tritt, Clyde Tritt, Ruby Pierce, Clarence Tritt, and
Trevia
Nell Barton.
Surviving family members include son
and daughter-in-law, Jim Donald and Jane Gooch Lunsford, of
Gainesville, Georgia;
daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Bud Braddock, of Suches, Georgia;
siblings: Grace Robertson, Rev. Donald Tritt, Ella Mae
Beech, and Jean Edge. Three
grandchildren and their spouses: Tracy
and Tom Braun, Paige and Evelyn Braddock, and Gueth and Sherri
Braddock; two
great grandchildren: Zachary Robert Owen and Rebecca Jane Owen; three
great
great grandchildren: Claire Tinkler, Sarah Tinkler, and Chandler
Tinkler.
Funeral services were held Thursday,
September 23, 2010, at 2 p.m., at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church, with Rev.
Clarence Drummond officiating. The body
was instate at the church starting at 1:30 p.m. on the day of the
service. Brenda Brookshire led the
congregation in
singing church hymns. The following
gentlemen served as pallbearers: Ken Carlisle, Tim Carlisle, Tom Braun,
Gueth
Braddock, Don Pruitt, and Jeff Edge.
Burial was in Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation began on Wednesday evening, after
6 p.m., with the family especially meeting with friends from 6 until 8
p.m. on
Wednesday evening.

Mr.
Kenneth Eugene Stover age 72 of Towe
Rd., Blairsville passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 in the N.E.
GA
Medical Center following a brief illness.
Mr. Stover was born on Nov. 8, 1937 in Suches, GA the son of the
late Oscar
Stover and the late Nora Gilreath Stover.
He was a native and lifelong
resident of Union County and had retired from GA. Boot with over thirty
six years
of service. Kenneth enjoyed hunting,
fishing, gardening, camping, gospel singing, watching all kinds of
ballgames
and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He was everyone’s “Pee Paw”. He was
preceded in death by two brothers,
William and Mac Stover and a sister, Ruby Towe.
Kenneth attended Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
Surviving Kenneth are his loving
wife of twenty five years, Wilma Towe Stover of Blairsville, children,

and Kathy Stover of Blairsville, Kenny (Buck) and Bonnie Stover of
Douglasville, GA., Terry and Sherrie Stover of Blairsville, Andrea and

Funeral services were held on Friday
Sept. 24, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. from the Mountain View Chapel with the Rev.
Jerry
Young, Rev. Dwayne Patterson and Rev. Dennis Taylor officiating. Special music was presented by the Dennis
Taylor Family, Mona Groves and Victoria Youngblood.
The following gentlemen served as pallbearers,
Stephen Stover, Jeremiah and Aaron Deyton, Gary and Marty Ledford and
Kevin
Payne. Serving as honorary pallbearers
were Kyle Young, Joey Colwell, Wade Rogers, Kenneth Deyton, Welchel
Garrett and
Eric Wall. Interment followed in the
Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. In
lieu of flowers if you wish, the family requests that memorials may be
made to
the Union County Recreation Dept. for the Kenneth Stover scholarship
Fund in
Kenneth’s memory. The family met with
friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 3-9 p.m.

James
Leland “Jim” Dobson, age 77, of
Blairsville, Georgia, formerly of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away
Wednesday,
September 15, 2010 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta.
Jim was born in Atlanta to the late David
Rufus and Cora (Coates) Dobson. He was a
member of First United Methodist church of Union County and was active
in the
OASIS program there, teaching Bridge and Ceramics.
Jim loved to work with his hands building and
creating. He was preceded in death by
his parents; a sister, Modrie Simmons; daughter, Jenny Vickers; and a
grandson,
Brad Dalton.
Surviving family members include his
wife, Ellie Dobson of the home; son & daughter-in-law, Scott &
Lanie
Dobson of Cary, NC; daughter & son-in-law, Debbie & Kevin
Dalton of

Mrs.
Jonnie Mae Fair Hollaran, age 72, of
132 Oak Grove Road, NW, Adairsville, passed away Saturday evening,
September
18, 2010 at the residence.
She was born in Blairsville, GA, March
24, 1938, daughter of the late James Robert and Thelma Mae Nelson Fair. Mrs. Hollaran was a member of Oak Grove
Baptist Church. She was preceded in
death by her parents; a son, Brent Hollaran, and a brother, Johnny
Richard
Fair.
Survivors include her husband of 54
years, William Talmadge Hollaran of Adairsville; son and
daughter-in-law,
Richard and Jill Hollaran of Adairsville; 2 grandchildren, Caylen and
Logan
Hollaran; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert M. Fair, Sr. and Pat Fair
of
Adairsville; 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Ann and Larry Patterson of
Blairsville, and Peggy Carol and Bill Martin of Cornelia; several
nieces and
nephews also survive.
Funeral services were held Tuesday
at 2 PM from NorthPointe (sic) Church, Adairsville, with Rev. Jim
Pinkard and
Rev. Jason Parker officiating. Interment
followed in Gordon memorial Cemetery, Calhoun.
The body lay-in-state from 1 PM until the funeral hour. Rob Fair, Jeff Patterson, Kipp Champion,
Keith Scoggins, John Fair, and Chad Delong served as pallbearers.
The
family received
friends Monday evening from 6 PM until 9 PM at Barton Funeral Home.
