mr. james collier (j.c.) mcafee
Mr.
James Collier, better known as J.C., McAfee, age 89, of Blue Ridge
Drive, Blue Ridge,
passed away Monday, October 6th in the Fannin Regional Hospital from
injuries
sustained in an automobile accident. A
native of Union County, he was the son of the late James and Georgia
McAfee. He was a retired merchant and a
member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Fannin County.
He is
survived by his wife, Mary Lee Rackley McAfee of the
home; a daughter, Donna Lee Neal of Blue Ridge; a sister, Cora Kinard
of
Blairsville; two grandchildren, Dennis Neal and his wife, Donna, of
Kennesaw,
and Melinda Lee and her husband, Terry, of Blue Ridge; great
grandchildren,
Jesse and Stefanie Deal of Blue Ridge, Josh Neal of Blue Ridge, Sarah
Lee of
Blue Ridge, Matthew and Christopher Neal, both of Kennesaw.
Funeral
services were conducted Wednesday, October 8th at 2
p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Elder Francis Scott
officiating. Music was by the Seventh
Day Adventist Church. Terry Lee, Jesse
Deal, Steve Drake, Joshua Deal, David Tanner, and Arlond Lott served as
pallbearers. Interment followed in
Providence Church

Home of Blue Ridge in charge of arrangements.

James
Edward Collins, 64, of Tribble Gap Road, Alto, GA., died Friday,
September 12,
1997 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness.
A native
of Union County he had lived most of his life in
Hall County. He had worked in the
poultry industry for many years and was a member of Track Rock Baptist
Church
in Blairsville.
Survivors
include his wife Ann Collins, Alto; daughter,
Martha Williamson, Gainesville; son, Jerry Collins, Alto; brother,
Royce
Collins, Gainesville; sisters, Leona Tanner, Lorraine Wise and Hazel
Daniels,
all of Flowery Branch, and Willa Mae Keith, South Carolina; and four
grandchildren.
Funeral
services were 2 p.m. Sunday, September 14, 1997 at the funeral home
chapel. The Rev. Jewell Thomas, the Rev.
Melvin Baugh, and the Rev. Michael Stevens officiated.
Burial was at the Bethlehem Baptist Church
Cemetery.
