Derrick are his loving parents, Ray and Genevieve Whitmore of Murphy; paternal

Henderson; a very special friend, Becky Sherman; lots of aunts, uncles and a

Joseph Mund, age 88, of

Dolores Donovan of East Haddam, CT; two sisters: Marion Keefe, of Vermont and
Anne Hess, of Wethersfield, CT; eight grandchildren; fifteen great
grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild also survive.
Graveside
services were held Tuesday, October 23, 2001, at 2 p.m. from Union memory
Gardens Cemetery, with Rev. Eddie Herring officiating. Grandsons served as pallbearers.

Mr.
Robert H. Breedlove, age 73, of Blairsville, GA, passed away Saturday, October
20, 2001, in Copper Basin Hospital in Copperhill, TN.
Mr.
Breedlove was born in Fannin County, GA, on Sunday, May 6, 1928, a son of the
late Robert Homer Breedlove, Sr., and Maude Patterson Breedlove. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines Corps,
having served in The Korean War. Mr.
Breedlove had lived most of his life in this area, and had been employed at the
Tennessee Copper Company. He was of the
Baptist faith.
Surviving
are his sons: Kenny Breedlove, of Blue Ridge, GA, James R. Breedlove, of
Loganville, GA. Dwayne Breedlove of McCaysville, GA, and John Breedlove, of
Blairsville, GA; two brothers: William Jewell Breedlove, of Blairsville, and
Charles Edward Breedlove, also of Blairsville; five grandchildren also survive.
Funeral
services were held Monday, October 22, 2001, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of
Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville, with Rev. Marvin Poole, and Rev. Scott
Baugh officiating. Special music was
presented by The Faith Singers. The
following gentlemen served as pallbearers: Fritz Baugh, Danny Blair, Jimmy
Russell, Dough Breedlove, Don Denny, and Chip Kaylor. Interment was in the family cemetery.

MR.
LAWRENCE (LARRY) VINCENT KOLES
Mr.
Lawrence (better known as Larry) Koles, age 72, of Blairsville, formerly of
Hayesville, passed away on Thursday, October 18, 2001 in his home following an
extended illness. Mr. Koles was born on Aug. 10, 1929 in Bloomville, N.J., the
son of the late Joseph P. Koles and the late Marie Hake Koles. He was retired from the Champion Spark Plug
Co. of Toledo, OH. He was a US Army Veteran
of the Korean War. Mr. Koles was of the
Catholic faith.
Surviving
Mr. Koles are his loving wife of forty seven years, Lucille Voorhee Koles of
Blairsville; two daughters Ann Marie Koles of Waldorf, MD, and Helen Lucille
Pope of Waterville, OH; one son, Lawrence Alan Koles of Snellville, GA; two
brothers: Joseph Koles of District Heights, MD, and Richard (Dick) Koles of
N.J.; six grandchildren: Heather Koles, Crystal Koles, Alex Pope, Ben Pope,
Jessica Waltz, and James Waltz; two great grandchildren; many other relatives
and friends also survive.
Services
will be held Saturday, October 27, 2001, at 2 p.m. from the funeral home chapel
with the Rev. Eddie Herring officiating.
In lieu of flowers, if you wish, the family requests that memorials may
be made to the American Heart Association in Mr. Koles Memory.
