Dyer Smith, age 96, of Highway 180, Blairsville, GA, passed away
Monday,
October 17, 2005 at Union General Hospital following a brief illness
after
falling and breaking her hip while working in her yard.
Mrs.
Smith was born

Smith was a life long resident of the Choestoe Community.
Her ancestors were among the early settlers
of this area. She had a long career as a
school teacher in

preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Tom Smith in June 2002 and all
of her 10
brothers and sisters.
Mrs.
Smith was a member of the First Baptist Church of Blairsville for the
last

earlier life she was a member of
