Mrs. jane harper pate


Mrs. Jane Harper Pate, age 68, of Blairsville, Georgia, passed away Saturday, October 23, 1999 in Union General Hospital in Blairsville.

Mrs. Pate was born in Fulton County, Georgia on Tuesday, December 16, 1930.  She was a bookkeeper for the Williams Printing Company in Atlanta.  She was a former part-owner of Harper Printing Company.  Mrs. Pate had lived in the Blairsville area for the past 5 years, coming here from Marietta, Georgia, where she had lived for 35 years.  Mrs. Pate was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are his husband, James F. Pate, of Blairsville; her parents, Virgil and Evelyn Harper of Blairsville; two sisters, Virgilene Pruitt of Douglasville, GA and Valerie Johnson of Lithia Springs, GA also survive.

Funeral services were held Monday, October 25, 1999 at 11 am from the chapel of Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville, with Rev. Danny Parris officiating.  Special music was presented by Ken and Elaine Young.  Interment was in Greenlawn Cemetery in Roswell, Georgia.
