mrs. anna lee fair barfield

 

Mrs. Anna Lee Fair Barfield, age 89, a homemaker, a native of Union County, GA and a resident of Forest Park, GA died Thursday, October 25, 2001 at Atlanta Medical Center.  She was a member of Providence United Methodist Church in Blairsville, GA.  She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. H. Frank Barfield and a daughter Mrs. Bette Barfield Hester.

She is survived by a daughter Miss Marcia Ann Barfield of Forest Park; two sons, the Rev. Charles F. Barfield of Marietta, Harry D. Barfield of Fayetteville; five grandchildren, Jaime Hills of Kennesaw, Chris Barfield of Douglasville, Stacy Bennett of Jonesboro, the Rev. Stephen Hester of Fayetteville, Cindy Clark of Rome; eight great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, October 28,2001 at Ward’s Fairview Chapel at 3:30 pm.  The Rev. Charles F. Barfield officiated.  Entombment followed in Fairview Memorial Gardens.

MR. BILL HOLLOWAY

 

Mr. Bill Holloway, age 72, of Blairsville, GA, formerly of Bradenton, FL, passed away Saturday, October 27, 2001.  Mr. Holloway was born in Detroit, Michigan, on Monday, June 28, 1943, a son of Mary Ellen Hicks Holloway.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.  Mr. Holloway had lived in the Blairsville area since 1998, and was an executive officer of the Chatuge Gun Club and an instructor for the 4-H BB Rifle Club.

He is survived by his wife, Faye, of the home; his mother, Ellen, of Blairsville, formerly of Lakeland, FL; son James William Holloway, of Prosperity, SC; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ellen Holloway-Ricks and Carter Morris Ricks, of Roswell, GA; a sister and brother-in-law, Kathryn and Capt. Gerald Hughes, of Jasper, GA; granddaughter, Lindsey Faye Holloway, both of Prosperity, SC; two nieces: Cali Ennis and Michelle Ennis, both of Jasper; nephews: Robert Ennis, of Acworth, GA, and Kyle Reed, of Jasper; many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 31, 2001, at 2 p.m., from the chapel of Cochran Funeral Home, with Rev. Paul Teasdale officiating.  Interment was in Union Memory Gardens Cemetery in Blairsville.
