Althea
Nichols Johnson, 60, of Blairsville,
Georgia, passed away Saturday, October 21, 1995 in Piedmont Hospital in
Atlanta.
Mrs. Johnson was born in Union
County, Georgia, on October 27, 1934, a daughter
of
the late George Dewey Nichols and Ruby Fowler Nichols.
She was a member of New Union Baptist Church.
Surviving are her daughter, Debbie
Bearden, of Dallas, Georgia; her son, David Johnson, of Mabelton,
Georgia;
brothers: Alvin Nichols, and Larry Nichols, both of Blairsville; G.D.
Nichols,
of Detroit, Michigan; Bob Nichols, of Clinton, Michigan; Bill Nichols,
of
Smyrna, Georgia; and Gilbert Nichols of Flowery Branch, Georgia;
sister, Helen
Malone, of Blairsville; four grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services were held Tuesday,
October 24, 1995 at 2:00 PM from New Union Baptist Church with Rev.
Harrison
Bradley and Rev. Don Hood officiating. Special
music was presented by the Low Gap Quartet.
The following gentlemen served as pallbearers; Darron Nichols,
Bobby
Odom, J.W. Payne, Edward Breedlove, Billy Bearden, and J.C. Odom. Interment was in the church cemetery.

in charge of the arrangements.
